If you look after her and respect her and you dont want to be with her just because she's sad and eager to please the person who's comforting you, I dont see what's wrong with going out with her.

I dont know how much you beleive in polterguiests and such, really. But even if you dont beleive such things it's best to pretend that your friend has the ability to do that, because then you'll treat the girl so good she'll do anything for you.

If she likes you I don't see the problem really. He might have been your good friend and all, but he died.

There is nothing wrong with treating his girl right and making her yours.

Yea my friend is going through a very similar, not as major though, situation. His bestfriends GF broke up with him and now shes calling him(my friend) up to come hang out. Although hes totally done with her, why not go hang out with her? I'd do it man if you think shes worth it(not to fuck, i mean talking and being around her wise). Cause i mean why not be happy with her and make her happy? Yeah theres that part telling you its wrong but what really is the right thing to do? There isn't a right thing to do. The right thing in general would be to treat her with respect and to comfort her. I'd get past the idea of knowing she was my best bros GF and look at her like any other normal girl(may take some time getting use to the idea though)

Firstly, I'm really sorry for your loss. Losing a best friend is an awful thing to go through, especially when its so sudden and out of the blue.

Personally, I think you shouldn't rule out a relationship with this girl. Terrible though it is, he's gone, and I'm sure she'd want him to be with a decent guy who he liked than some sleazeball. I would warn you to go really slowly though. She's probably still looking for comfort, little more, and she trusts you. If you suddenly started getting really full on (and I doubt you would, you sound like a nice, sensitive guy) then she might think that this was the only reason you offered your support, and cease to trust you. Just let things develop naturally. If she feels the same way for you, it will eventually become clear. Bear in mind that she's gonna be fragile for some time.

I understand why you feel guilty about this. But you're not betraying your friend. He'd want her (and you) to be happy, and if that means you being together, I think he'd probably understand.

I'd trade a friend for a girl, if it meant I had to kill him myself.

and remember that girl has one just like it. You get her into you, lick that for a couple hours, and your life will be good. Honestly though you probably don't have a shot with her, which is why he got her in the first place, so I'd try to get her drugged up and rape-able asap. She'll have a harder time leaving you if you get her knocked up.
