Default Should I be worried about this?

This ended up quite long. Thanks to all of those who take the time to read through it all...

This girl and I have been dating for a really long time. I introduced her to one of my friends that I've known since elementary school, and they began talking.

I am not the jealous type, unless I see something really going on that deserves attention being called to it, and I tend to give my girlfriend the space that she deserves at all time, and I never attempt to impose on it.

Tonight my aforementioned buddy was over my house (and he still is sitting on my couch right now watching TV), and he left his Myspace open on my computer. Let's get one thing straight -- I am NOT someone who judges a person, or a situation directly from something I saw on Myspace. Anyway, so as curious as I am I glance to make sure he wasn't looking, and I opened his messages...

Inside the "sent" folder, he replied to a bulletin my girlfriend posted, since she seems to repost every single bulletin she gets... This was his response:

Once again, I have known this kid for a very long time and I don't think my friendship with him would be fucked up over a girl, let alone a bulletin posted on Myspace, but I am just wondering if I am over reacting or if I should really get angry/upset over this. He claims that he's not doing anything and that it's a "harmless bulletin" (his words), but I don't know if I should care or not.

Finding out about this on my birthday doesn't help, either.

All advice is appreciated. Thanks guys/girls.

I don't know, that seems kinda tricky...

On one hand, it is a bulletin thing or whatever. For this fact, if you were to make a thing of it your friend could easily defend himself by telling you it doesn't mean anything because it's just a stupid survey on a gay website.

On the other hand, if those are his honest true answers than those are probably his real feelings. I guess it really depends on your girlfriend and how she sees this guy and if she has the same feelings in return. Probably that's what you should end up watching out for.

I wouldn't go ape-shit over it just yet. If they start getting super cozy maybe talk to her about it, but only if they're friendly enough to really raise a red flag. Paranoia/jealousy, I've learned, is not so attractive.

Just let it be known that she's yours, and subtly keep an eye on the two. If your friend is a good one he won't even give it a thought that she's available in any way. If he's completely dense and starts hitting on her tell him to back the fuck off.

I've been doing that, but I will continue to. Thanks for the help.

Sure, it's myspace. But the bare bones of it is that it's communication. How is this different than someone going up to your girlfriend and saying, "I don't know how I feel about you"? (And who's stupid enough to think that means anything besides "I like you, but I'm too scared to admit it."?)

Yeah, you shouldn't have been looking at his shit online, but this is worth getting a bit pissed over.

I really hate it when people write "yea", what the fuck is so hard about adding one more letter?

Also, if your girlfriend is white and not using the word "homiez"*shudders* in an ironic sense, then you should dump her dumb ass right now.

Exactly its just the same as a telephone conversation, but alot of the time people say stuff on the internet because they can easily deny it.

He's shown that he has an interest in her, but he hasn't made any moves, so no need to worry.

Okay, here's what you do.

Go downstairs to your friend, and say
"hey man, I've got this really awesome suprise for you. but you cant see where we're going. It's a suprise!"
Then, you proceed to put a blanket over him, and lead him down to the basement/attic/other private room where the mess wont be seen by your entire family.
Then you sit him down.

Then, you proceed to smash the living fuck out of the fucker with a fucking tire iron for daring to pull that shit on your, YOUR goddamn girlfriend.

And then, you go to your girlfriends house, and you bounce her head off the wall, for stooping to the pathetic childish level of filling in those needy, shitty, attention whoring, cheating shitty myspace questionaires.

Then you proceed to go out and get yourself a girl who isnt an utter cunt and likely to screw your friend behind your back.
