He's making blank threads in BI, too. Apparently a blank thread exploit still exists in the new forum software.

Well on the upside, if we can find out how it's done, we can report it as a bug (since VB is actually maintained, unlike UBB :p ) or even just fix it ourselves.

I did not infract him for it because I dont know that its true, but I ask that the rest of you hold off on it as well as it does go along with what totse is all about; even the threads discussing how shitty and buggy the software is.

I don't think I'd call the blank thread an exploit, since there is nothing stopping you from reading or moderating the thread.

Sure, you can't click on a thread title, but you can click the little blue arrow next to the title and be taken inside.

And you can check the box on the right side of the thread and close/delete/move/merge it.

So yeah, I don't think it's really a big deal.

Well what I do in cases such as this, is to give the person a profile infraction just so the spamming stops and then the forum Mods can take care of the rest.

I don't think that that is stepping on anyone's toes.

In this case, though, I was able to give a further infraction because he posted in SG too.

But another forum I will only do something if it looks like there is no Mod in the forum in question at the time and then only do enough to stop further spamming.
