Default Forming/Furthering a relationship via email?

So, I met a girl at a math placement test for collage courses in high school. Her and I share a number of uncommon interests and are both, for lack of a long list of adjectives, pretty nerdy .We communicated face to face about a week ago, with a strange ease for me, and will be in the same calc class in about a month. Right now I have her email and aim. She has dial up, and a conflicting schedule. So aim is not the most efficient means of communicating She suggests communicating via email. Due to my social ineptness, this turn based communication is a hurdle for me. How would one go about this? I could wait a month until the class but I wish not to wait.

I am only fairly sure that she does not have a boyfriend, in the case she does I would like to befriend her on a friend level.

More so, through a good amount of googling I found her various accounts on social networking sites none of which I have an account on. They list many similar interests and preferences. How do I bring this up without sounding creepy? Should I make an account on these one of these sites, which would seem to be for the sole purpose of communicating with her, or is that even creeper?

Why would it be creepy? They're called networking sites for a reason!

Dont get so worried about it,email her when you feel like it in a casual manner.

It's unusual, I've found nerdy people tend to be more comfortable communicating via email rather than face to face but you're the opposite.

Atleast you know she likes you in real life, so Email wont be as awkward as you think.

You might want to join one or two of the networking sites she's got profies on them, but dont join all of them, that *would* be perhaps seen as a little creepy to some girls.

Write as if you were talking to her face to face. Don't try writing it as a letter unless letter writing is a particular forte of yours otherwise you'll sound stilted.

Write as you would normally speak but watch your punctuation and make liberal use of smilies inorder that 'tone' and meaning come across.

"I hate you" and "I hate you :P" are two very different things, you see?

Oh and don't ask for naked pics too early.

That freaks some girls.

I am not 100% sure of that
