When your spouse asks you this, what the hell are you supposed to say?

It's just as stupid as asking "When do you love me?" or "Where do you love me?" I don't get the fucking question, how am I going to answer this shit?

The only response I could come up with is, "Because you make me laugh" and "I just do" but those are so lame.

I know I love him, and we've been living together for a year now, so there's no doubt. But why would he ask me that, and what does he expect me to say?

He wanted to be reassured, or he just wanted his ego stroked.

One of my old boyfriends would ask me that on a regular basis, and I'd always hope he wasn't going to say it because I was expecting it. Only it was harder to answer because I didnt love him, I just made up stuff.

What would you say?

I really hate that question. You women never seem satisfied by my answer, made up or real. WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME??!!

Some men just like the be reassured, like psycho_8b said, some just love their partners so much they find it too good to be true, I suppose you could say.

If he asks you again just give him compliments about what a great personality he has, how much he cares about you, how comfortable you are with him, etc. If you build him up enough one time, maybe he'll feel content.

Just compliment him on absolutely everything you like about him.

In the end it all amounts to why you love him.

Tell him it's none of his fucking business to know why, and to accept that you just do.

Or you could reply with another question. Whenever he asks a question, you ask one. That really gets on their nerves sometimes.
