Fucking hell. NO. The whole point of the pill is that you take it regularly, for 21 consecutive days. The combined pill contains hormones which do 3 things. Firstly, you won't release an egg which could be fertilised. Second, the lining of the womb does not thicken enough to receive said egg. Thirdly, the fluid in the womb neck thickens to help prevent sperm entering. These are obviously long term things... taking the pill a couple of days before sex will do nothing if an egg has already been released etc.

I'm really surprised that a doc would put her on it with her being so oblivious to the basic facts. And you can get non-latex condoms if she's allergic. If the pill is having a negative affect on her, she should go back to the doctor and try a different type! Many girls get through 2-3 different brands until they find the one which suits them.
