Default Getting back together

First off, I'm 16 years old, a virgin and I have some social problems.

Despite all of my problems this beatifull hippie girl from school begin showing an interest in me, aked me out and within 20 minutes was introducing me to her friends as her boyfriend.

Unfortunately this is where the social issues come in, I was going head over heels for this girl, but I became paranoid as all hell that I would say something stupid, as I tend to do, and screw the whole thing up, couldnt sleep, couldnt think straight. I immedietely turned from my usaul bouncy nutcase self to a complete misary case and not the most fun person to be around for a few days, she broke it off after two, saying that she was'nt ready for a relationship.

Since then I have taken up meditation, started listeing to more ska and generally gotten most of my issues under cotrol.
But the wise minds of totse, I ask you this, is this one of those cases where its okay to try to start something up again? Do I have a chance?

It's worth a try. I mean, you shouldnt have to change for a girl, but if you were a serious moody dick and you are no longer, I dont see why she would repel you.

Thanks yoyobek, just thought I would take this oppurtinity to inform you that you are one of my favourite mods.

No, I would never knowingly change for the sake of anyone but me then again, if a girl wanted to change me she probably could without me having any idea.
It was actually a few months ago that we were together and I was still having issues with getting over my parents break up and my budding alchoholism, but I am all under control now and feeling great. I'm thinking I fight take my guitar to school and sing a song I wrote for her (I know its corny but it's just the kind of thing I do).

That was very reassuring, updates in approximately 12 hours.

Interesting. When I listen to ska I feel like cutting my wrists like a my chemical romance fan and filling my ears with blood to block out the music but each to his own...

It's all a case of taste.:)

DogBoy,sublime? The Transplants? (actually I dont know if they're classed as Ska).
I'm a Raver, generally, but Ska can be good when techno just cant hit the spot.

I think you should go for it! She obviously liked you before, or she wouldn't have asked you out. I'm not sure I'd personally go for the serenading thing, but each to their own. Maybe if you just sat her down and explained you were having a lot of personal problems at the time, but things are better and you feel good again, she'll understand better what happened. Good luck dude.

It might be worth it to explain how you were feeling back then, what you've gone through, and how you want to give it another try... FROM THE HEART!!!

If you become someone else for this girl, sooner or later you'll fuck it up by slipping back into your old ways and she'll notice that.

Dude...just be yourself. If she keeps you around she'll keep you around. If not, screw it and move on.

And for the love of God, stop listening to ska!

Well he didnt change anything drastic, just his tendency to be a psycopathic dick, from the sounds of it.

Nothing but good can come from hiding your psychotic tendencies :)

Why not change for a girl just so long as you're changing for the better?

Go for her. :)

Thanks for all your support guys.
I didnt really have a chance to have much of a heart to heart with her, the long and short of it is that she doesnt want to get back together. Not to worried, moving on time.

And as for the chaging thing, I honestly was not changing for her, it was all me, I was living in a pretty self destructive way.
