How I found out: My dad's girlfriend is a horrible alcoholic. We don't get along at all. The other night she was drunk and causing another one of her scenes, I came in to save my dad and have my words with her when at some point she says; "Your father's a creep! He has his own profile at 'www.adult(something).com'." It was hard to make out due to her level of intoxication. I didn't consider it as a possibility, at the time, I just used it to stab her in the back. Then I start noticing a few things:

After she was sustained in my dad's bathroom for some time I started to help my dad pick up the mess she'd made on the floor. She scattered almost his entire book collection in the main part of his room all over the place. I couldn't help but notice that a lot of the books had to deal with sexual things. I've found "stuff" around the house of my dad's and brother's before, I don't mind. I've lived with them my whole life, I never thought it to be abnormal or gross, really.

Just a few moments ago I was searching google and found some rather suspicious searches typed in. I refused to click the links, but all the clues up to this point add up, on top of what was in the history of the search bar, and lead me to believe that he really does have an online porn profile.

I mean, even I, his daughter know that he's a horny bastard. He's attractive, always dates beautiful, younger women, and I hear stories (unfortunately) from my brothers and their friends about how sexually active he is.

I suppose I don't really care. It kind of makes me uneasy inside knowing this, but to be completely honest I'm not surprised.

Now, I don't know for a fact if this is true, but what would you think? I really don't want to hear the immaturity of you guys and the whole scetch of me fucking my father, etc. Become more original, idiots. I'd actually appreciate some serious responses, if that's possible. I know this is a bizarre topic.

Unfortunately, parents have a lot of things hidden away from us when we're kids. It's the way of the world.

Really and truly, does it damage you in any way? Does it harm your relationship with your dad?

If you answered no to those questions, don't really think about it too much. Your dad has a right to have his own life and things to do as long as he takes care of you and your brother first.

Failing that, just hope you don't see a video of him at work...That could do some damage!

As a matter of fact, it has taken no real affect on me. I'm just rather shocked, that's all.

My dad's a wonderful father to my brother and I. Something like this could never interfer or even shift my judgment of him because he's built our relationship so strong and correctly.

The alcoholic has much more two her. She's beautiful, for one, a millionaire, intelligent, and classy. She's just mentally insane. He's dated many other women but always ends up with her. I suppose they're in love. They've been together 10 years. Engaged several times. Split up many. It's a hectic situation.

He isn't doing anything wrong. Being sexually active and driven is an awesome thing. I think there's a thin line between being a passionate sensual person and abusing and exploiting sex. The internet thing... people have their own limits as far as their ethics go. Without actually interviewing your father I have no way to say whether or not he's crossed that line, mentally.

All you have to worry about on your end is YOU. Examine how you feel and what bothers you. Do you worry about his health? Getting someone pregnant? Weirded out by the internet aspect? He's an adult and can choose to do what he wants. You seem level headed enough to play the victim role and be traumatized over it. It seems like his openness has actually lead you to be quite comfortable with sex, which is a good thing.
