Relationship problem...maybe...kind of...not really?
I've been dating this girl for about 4 months and it has gone spectacular. She's the first girl I've ever felt anything more than just a physical attraction to. But I'm going off to college in a couple of weeks and our relationship seems to have changed quite a bit. We used to get a long great without any fights and really nothing too sexual. Then when she realized how close me leaving was, everything kind of turned sour. She seems to blow me off and I seem to always be mad at something but it seems everytime we get together it turns into a sexual romp. We don't really get along as great anymore unless we are having sex or messing around or something. It seems like our entire relationship has become purely sexual and I'm not sure if I like that. She's a really cool girl and I don't want it to be like that.
So I guess I'm asking if I should try to change the direction it's going or just take it as it is and have some great sex for a few more weeks and then try to forget about her?

Your future is more important. No matter how much you like this chick now, don't blow off education.
If it's supposed to happen with her, it will when you come home from college.
Until then, I say just enjoy yourselves.

Re: Relationship problem...maybe...kind of...not really?
I wasn't asking if I should blow off school. I was asking if it's worth it to try to make amends with her or if, since I will be living so far away anyways, I should just be happy with a purely physical relationship for now. I really don't think I can just forget about her and I kind of feel sorry for any girls I'm going to meet while at college because I think I'll probably still be hung up on her for a while.
I guess I answered my own question. I'll try to work things back to where they used to be. Maybe I should assure her that things don't really have to change just because I don't live in town anymore. Or do they?

Re: Relationship problem...maybe...kind of...not really?
Well, talk to her about the situation, tell her how you feel about it. See if she'll tell you why shes acting like this, if the relationship is going down the shitter or if shes just getting worried.
Maybe she's having a hard time processing the fact you wont be there much longer.
Or maybe shes trying to have as much fun as she can with you before you leave. Both? She may feel like shes being abandoned, and that you're going to fuck some random chick at college.
Anyway, assure her that she doesnt need to worry about anything, and when you come back your lives will be even better.
If she just wants you for a good fuck and nothing more or anything to the effect of she doesnt really care about you....the girl isn't worthy of your time and you should be happy you're leaving her behind.
I hope I was of some help, good luck.

i agree, talk to her and find out if you both care about each other enough to wait a few years. I mean if you both REALLY love each other then a long distance relationship fof a few years won't matter in the long run

shes already separating herself from you.
expect her to dump you, ask to be friends, or to tell you she cheated on you.

keep the sex romp up then when you go to college say "you know what this is..." and break up gently.

August kills all summer romance. It's simply what is done.

Re: Relationship problem...maybe...kind of...not really?
Looks like she knows she won't be keeping you for too much longer, she's using you all she can before it's over. And that would mostly be sexually.
Have you talked to her about it? Asked her why she's acting that way?
I would just go with the flow and try to forget her, or break up with her early if all else fails.
Summer romances can suck.

Re: Relationship problem...maybe...kind of...not really?
If you believe she's worth it, try working things out. Maybe she's just afraid of what's to come and has decided that you will chose a college girl over her, etc. A lot of girls get like that when their boyfriends go off. Just talk to her, let her know how important she is to you and I'm sure you'll work things out. All relationships get a little rocky.
However, you may want to consider trying out the single life if you think this is a good oppertunity. You need to enjoy college, it's your last shot. There's a lot of great people there and you may find yourself enjoying the company of other young ladies as well.
If you want things perfect with your girlfriend, it's possible and in your reach. If you want to have a fun college experience without worrying about 'back home commitment', like oh so many guys, then consider breaking it until you "find out what you really want, etc."

Re: Relationship problem...maybe...kind of...not really?
Don't ever enter college with a relationship hanging over you. Especially if you are going to different colleges.
Leave it as it was- a summer fling. Do you know how many hot girls are in college?

I guess. But I've had summer flings before and this just feels different, ya know? I never said it was love or anything. I'm only 19, I don't know what the fuck love is. I just really like her a lot. More than any girl I've ever met and I don't think I can just drop it like that. Fuck emotional attachment.
