You won't get it back. You ruined the friendship bit when you asked her out and pressed too much. Now the only way you could go to a friendship relationship is if you stopped liking her as more than a friend, which she may take to be she is less appealing to you than before.

Get a girlfriend (that sint her) and let her know that you have another girlfriend. She will see you with her and probably realize that you dont have feelings for her anymore. The reason why she doesnt want to be friends is because she thinks she will lead you on by being friends. BUt if your taken, she wont have any reason to think shes leading you on by being her friend.

Apologize. Explain you understand how she felt and shit like that and that you still think she would be a good friend, etc.

i did that today. so we'll see how it works out, in the meantime give giving advice.

It depends on the person. It might not be possible, they may have simply moved on. In the end, though, the friendship regained will be hollow.

its not necessarily going to be that way. my best friend went through a similar situation. It definitely took a good year though, but since then they have been better friends than ever.
