Im about to finish reading the game, really good shit.....goes over some of the stuff ive been using and brings up some new stuff i havent really thought about, from reading it just like re-trained some of my techniques and gave me a new look on some things. Great just to read for entertainment value also.

I think it's depressing how this kind of thing has become all about "technique" and "methods" and "training" for a pretty sizeable chunk of the male population. And more than a little pathetic.

I believe that it is a little extreme, like if say theres a scale of picking up girls 1-10..1 meaning no effort 10 meaning everything u got(extreme techniques) you dont always have to be at a 10 to pick up girls....referring to the game and other such writing 24/7 will help you but its not necessary. I myself havent used any of these well thought made up techniques or strategies besides the basic cocky and funny stride, with that and my own approach, works fine, nothing more is needed.

I sort of started reading about some of the methods before the book came out and then I read the book.

The book if anyone does want to become a "PUA" should not be taken as a bible. It is of course a novelization.

Now I don't use methods, occasionally I'm inclined to read the odd bit of information about the whole scene but I'm put off using a lot of what it teaches.

To me it kind of rationalizes every woman into being an object, one that can be one over by cause and effect, flicking a few switches and triggers in their mind. A lot of it is manipulation to create attraction and seduction which unless you're a maniacal megalomaniac I can't understand the need for.

The most important thing that you can learn is confidence and charisma. Being able to approach a girl and not being scared to ask for things. There is a certain element of being yourself, but maybe it's be yourself.. but a little bit better. Getting out there is the way to go.

The good pickup teachers don't teach you how to manipulate and objectify women. In fact, most seduction teachers have the utmost respect for women and can relate with them better than most guys. That is what makes them good with women.

"Techniques" and canned lines don't get you very far with women. That only works in movies and popular media. You have to change yourself in many ways to become better with women. You have to talk to many people and face many rejections. It's hard but it's worth it, if you want to live a social life.
