I know that they wouldn't mind, it's not like they will kick them out or anything, but their initial reaction for a few days will seriously piss me off.

I have a FAR from normal family, but my awkward moments left along time ago. The awkwardness isn't about necisarily just your parents questions, its how you go about them. Me personally im a VERY open person I can talk to anyone about anything at any time.
