Ladder theory
What do the people here think of ladder theory? I'm not incredibly experienced with women, but it seems realistic I guess.

Re: Ladder theory
It's an interesting read, but thats all really... generalisation is pointless.

Re: Ladder theory
I love the theory. Though personally im probably not overtly attractive, work at KFC and openly admit to thinking that any goals or ambitions are meaningless. Yet I have a girl who by todays general standards is flaming hot.

Re: Ladder theory
Generalisations like that are fucking ludicrous.
It's like we're trying to make a race of misogynistic, feministic bastards who hate each other.

Re: Ladder theory
On a whole it's pretty decent, however everyone has specific niches so if you apply it to everything you do when around women you'll most likely fail epically. The great ones know when to apply it and when to use their brains.

Re: Ladder theory
The Ladder Theory has been discussed here many times before. If I remember rightly the general consensus was that it was so much ***D!I!N!G!O!'S ***K!I!D!N!E!Y!S***.
However as it hasn't been done in a while I'll leave this up.

Re: Ladder theory
It makes me smile, with disgust.
It's such a nonsense theory.

Re: Ladder theory
It's definitely not entirely inaccurate.
Sometimes I wish I wasn't so lazy, and had enough desire to actually write out all the examples I see in everyday life that support some of what Ladder Theory talks about.
But my hatred towards females has kinda just turned into apathy. I guess that's my way of 'maturing'. Also, I have started to become more misanthropic rather than misogynistic.
But God damn, to assume that any females (or even males for that matter) function on some higher plane where we don't entirely care about satiating our basic, unconscious desires or needs, is living in either denial, or in naivety for being unable to see what is really there.

Re: Ladder theory
It's about as accurate as any pseudo-scientific observational theory that attempts to explain the whole spectrum of human behaviour in a few paragraphs.

Re: Ladder theory
It may be in a sense a way to explain the actions of some females(that some dude thought up after he got fucked over by a female) but its not something i'd base my business over with a woman...
I honestly dont think you can always finds out drives a female to do what they do, that is you cant sit down and me like oh shes obviously wants me for me, even though the truth may be other wise(horny, for your money, you fuck good, whatever) making alot of theories bulshit

Re: Ladder theory
Women
80% replication (looks)
20% survivability (status)
Men:
80% survivability (status)
20% replication (looks)
Lucky for us guys, we can create status out of thin air by social proof. We just have to know what to say, how to tease, how to be cocky and funny.
On the other hand, the only thing women have to attract me is looks :)

Re: Ladder theory
I'd have to say that the theory is pretty close to the truth. However, I would make one change by taking power/money and replacing it with charisma, as people with charisma can aquire money and power even if they are poor at the time.
I know this is true because of how many women want me. The reason is because I look like Brad Pitt in his 20's, and have the charismatic leader type qualities of a politician. I'm not rich or anything, but I most certainly will be.
The whole women and men can't be just friends thing isn't quite accurate, since most women want to fuck men and put them on the same kind of ladder. The only difference is that women have a just friends classification, but it's often a blurry line as it's just the lowest rung on the ladder of would I fuck him, but it's still a rung on the ladder..
My fiance and I went to a party of one of her friends and I was the only guy there. When I went to go grab something from my truck they actually told her they wanted to fuck me, all of them. They flirted with me the entire night. Aparently, women don't even give a fuck if it's their friends man, they still can't keep it just friends.
