Ok, I am kind of stumped on this one. This girl I'm talking to has acted very interested and wanted to go out with me etc. But we could not do anything because I was leaving for Florida. I am coming back tomorrow so we might be able to do something. But what was really confusing me is that 3 weeks ago we were talking like crazy. But then about 2 weeks ago she totally cut it off for about a week (I tried to contact her a couple times both unsuccessful) So I just forgot about her. Then last week she started talking to me like nothing happened. Do you guys think she may do this again if I get involved with her? I guess I'm just asking whether or not I should just forget about her, or really try to be involved?

Personally, I would avoid it. Or at the very least, I wouldn't expect much out of it.

I know a few girls like that, and usually I avoid anyone who displays that kind of behavior, but sometimes they can be really fun to hang out with.

So basically, I just stop looking for anything more with them and just see how things go.

Mixing things up a bit, especially initially, can spice things up and make things more fun, but it sounds like she's going overboard, and is liable to continue that kind of behavior in the future.

I hear alot going to an all girls school. If a girl knows a guy wants her (just like the OP's girl knows he likes her) well obviously she's not going to be chasing after him. As for ulterior motives 'game playing' doesn't seem to fit into that category.
