It takes so long because flight transfers are retarded in America.
It's cheaper for me to Fly from Columbus, Ohio and land in Cincinnati, the town in which I fucking live, and then depart for LAX.
I actually booked a flight that will only take 22 hours, so that's an improvement.

But yes, best meetup ever. I'm traveling to the opposit side of the globe for this in 23 days. Can't wait.

The travel agency has sent me all kinds of e-bullshit for my flight but won't send paper tickets in the mail. I want paper tickets damn it, I want to wake up every morning before I go and see them sitting on my shelf next to my passport and smile. Fuck e-convenience.

True story about my e-bullshit a couple of weeks ago. Took my family to Sesame Place just north of Philly. Night before we leave, ask the wife...."you got confirmation info for hotel?" She tells me it's in printer tray. I pick it up and briefly scan 5 pages that consist of...... 3 park passes, 1 ticket for family lunch with Big Bird and friends, 1 sheet summarizing hotel info along with confirmation #. Put the paperwork in a folder in the vehicle, off to fun we go.

So we leave the park day 1 in the quest for our AmeriSuites hotel which I thought was in Levittown, Pa because when we originally sat down to look at packages that was where we were leaning. Turns out we really booked in Princeton, NJ about 15 miles north. But the only address I have in my confirmation paperwork is "Right off Route 1 next to Whatever Mall". AND NO PHONE NUMBER FOR HOTEL! Dial information, nothing local for AmeriSuites. Like Clark Griswald I'm bee-bopping up and down Route 1 looking for a phantom hotel and not sure what town I should be in. Its been about 95 all day, I want a shower, some food....and perhaps chill in the pool later. WHERE THE FUCK IS THE GODDAMN HOTEL? As I'm calling a relative to get them to log online and find a corporate number for AmeriSuites, I stumble onto my hotel. What should have taken me 20 minutes, was now 1 1/2 hours. I find out later that Hyatt recently bought those properties, which is why information had nothing under Amerisuites.

So yeah....fuck e-confirmation #'s and the attached paperwork!!
