With the recent acquisition of DoubleClick by Google Groups, things are getting darker for us all.
Yes, that's right!! Google has been buying key companies in order to gain control of us.
Let's analyze for a second:

-First, Google search engine. Yeah, I know it's great, but if Google doesn't want you to see something, you won't. Bear in mind most other search engines leech of off Google.
If you don't believe me, look around and get info on Chinese Google.
The government decides what the Chinese people are allowed and not allowed to see when they Google certain things.
Also, everytime you Google something, Google knows more about yourself.

-Gmail. They can peruse all your emails and know more about you than yourself.
Ever noticed the ads that come with the mail?
Gmail scans the emails and searches for key words, and with that they are able to see what products you would be interested in. In other words, they read your mail.
Now we're getting intimate, aren't we, Google?

-YouTube. Now Google knows how you look like, what you like to do, how your friends look like. They know the country you live in, how you sound like.
Ever wondered why Google paid 1.65 billion dollars for a company like YouTube? Imagine just how much they can make from selling your info to the government or advertising enterprises.
Hmmm, nice try Google, but I still have my privacy! Oh, yeah, I lost that several lines ago...

-DoubleClick. Self explanatory. An advertising company. Now Google is taking all the information about you, and then selling you the specific product you want.
$3.1 billion that will turn into more dough.
The purchase is confirmed, but the deal hasn't been closed yet.
Now think about what they could do to you with the information they gathered over the last years. Scary, huh? We get censorship, personality scans, and we lose our privacy.

Google is the new Inquisition.

Sorry about the long post, but I hope you'll find it an interesting read. I wrote it in the hope we all open our eyes to these dangerous truths (at least they're truths to me) and fight for our privacy.
Whenever you google something that may give away aspects of your personality, use a proxy!
