About a month ago, I started talking to a guy whom I'd met through a friend. Everything was great, we got along, he's smokin' hot, and he's made it quite clear that he finds me attractive. About a week and a half ago, he took the initiative and said we should hang out, I was cool with that, so I said alright.

We decided that we would hang out the following Friday (today), but didn't decide what to do. I haven't heard from him since Tuesday, so I'm a little confused.

I think part of the problem is that I have a really overprotective best friend, who tends to scare off my potential guy friends.

Devin, the guy I was supposed to meet up tonight, acted like he was really interested and suggested us hanging out 4 or 5 times + said he was really into me. He may be just trying to get in my pants, even so I wanted to hang out with him.

Could he be waiting for me to contact him, or should I just wait it out? Could he possibly be saying he doesn't want to hang out anymore?

It's not necessarily the truth, though it is a distinct possibility. Or he's just playing games with you and trying to make you think that he's not into you any more to keep you on the edge, y'know?
