I have a really hard time meeting the types of girls that I'd see as good for me to be dating.

I'm 20 years old and straight up sick of the bar and nightclub scenes. The kinds of women that go to places like that around here are superficial bitches, and are definitely not attracted to smart guys like me. I have my doubts as to whether I'd want them for anything other than a fuck anyway.

I'm a heavy-duty equipment mechanic by trade... so the whole *2 outta 3 loves start in the workplace* will never apply inless I fall in love with a greasy middle aged redneck (man). Also I am not in school.

I've tried online social networks to help me out. To me they just seem like the internet version of the popular bar scene. People just don't really seem open to meeting strangers, and want only to associate with the large circle of friends and potential partners they already have.

The pick-up artist guys say just walk up to randoms on the street and start a conversation: It Doesn't Fucking Work Like This! I've tried it before. When man walks up to woman he doesn't know in any given place and starts trying to socialize with her, woman thinks man is creepy and wonders if he could be a stalker of some sort. If the female population wasn't so godamn uptight, maybe something like this would be able to work, but get real people.

It's people in general. It's not that they're picky, it's just that they live in their own little world. They're used to the things that are in that world, and unless you've been in it, you're not getting in it. Just the way it goes.

Women being bitches aside, you need to get out. Break your cycle. If you're so smart, why don't you go to school?
Do you live in a suburban residential area or a big city setting? I think it's a lot easier to meet people who want to meet people in big cities. School is excellent for this too.

I'm gonna have to disagree with this. To me it seems like the bigger of a city setting you get into, the less anybody wants to do with anybody else (not in their network). Otherwise, I've found that in little country towns people are warmer overall, and more appreciative of other people making the effort to know them.

It can be done, meeting a girl at total random.....u just gotta look appropriate, not front "im trying to pick u up" attitude, make eye contact, and if they small start talking to them, say hey or hi, how u doing.......then if u start talking to them a bit and it feels good/right time..be like hey i gotta get going heres my number/email.....w/e

I had some girl a couple weels ago, i was just looking straight ahead, not right at her, but she musta thought i was, and shes like hey,(the dude next to me freaked) im like hey how you doing? She says good just going to class, im like cool talk at you later......she was average but ok looking, but still haha the dude next to me walking was like OHHOHOO, like he couldnt believe its like son u can do work out of no where, its about atittude,apperance, and your where-abouts..

Theres a guy that i kno, that fucking goes thru girls like mad, his myspace friends are like seriously all girls... several times people have witnessed him picking up girls at the mall and receving numbers all the time....fucker does straight up work..ive seen the numerous girls he was with...no wonder hes got the fucking unlimited plan for his cellphone....meet the guy u think man does this kid have a mental disease, cause he has a goofy look and doesnt talk much.....no he dont its just the way he acts and goes about doing stuff that makes it work
