Seriously, what's my deal?
I have absolutely zero desire to have sex. I've either somehow managed to convince myself of this subconsciously, or I just have some seriously out of whack hormone levels. I'm an 18 year old guy, pretty good looking, and it's just not there. I've had girls pretty much throw themselves at me and I've turned it down on more than one occasion because I just didn't feel like it. Well, that and they were a bit tipsy, but whatever. Point is, it's not like I can't get any. In fact I can name three girls off the top of my head who would be more than happy to come over for a quickie right about now.
Honestly, I've pretty much made the decision that my virginity doesn't mean shit to me. I've no reason to go out and lose it, nor any reason to keep it. I have no desire to go out and get girls. Some of my friends are seriously concerned about me, and, well I don't blame them. I think there's some underlying problem here that I haven't quite gotten to. Could it be my complete and total lack of trust for all women? Or maybe the fact that I've decided long ago to act on logic over emotion as best as humanly possible, thus effectively hiding things from myself without even realizing it? I don't know. I'm really sick of it though. I feel like I should want to do things, but I seriously don't. How many of you know what it feels like to want to want to have sex, but not be able to? It's really, really weird and frustrating and I want to make it stop.
I feel like a eunuch or something. Fuck.
Oh, and yeah, I've considered the possibility of being attracted to guys, but I'm pretty sure that's not the case.
So no closet homo jokes, totse. Srsly.

Here's the deal.
You're not into hving sex right now, and that's NOT ACTUALLY A FUCKING PROBLEM.
You have no deal. Just keep doing what you feel is right man.

Re: Seriously, what's my deal?
Is it the penis problem? As in, embarrassment?
Sex the first couple of times is a bit scary, but if you relax, it's much easier to get into it

Re: Seriously, what's my deal?
No, not embarrassment. And it's not like I'm opposed to sex either. I want to, if anything, but it's just that my drive is so low that it's not letting me even get a chance. I'll be at a party or something for example and start talking to a chick, and everything will be going great, until I get some competition, at which point I usually just say 'fuck it, this guy wants it more than I do' and give up. It's purely psychological and it's a mindset I need to figure out how to dig myself out of sooner rather than later, because the same excessively passive mindset is going to spill over into other areas of my life (I think it's starting to already), and that could end quite badly, I think.
I'm a strong believer in the idea that human actions are strongly influenced by basic instinctual human nature. The biological urge to reproduce and have sex is one of the fundamental desires of our species, and the fact that I'm completely missing it for whatever reason is a little disconcerting to me.
How about I give you all the story that spurred this thread. I went on a road trip with a friend last week to visit a female friend of mine that he'd never met. I've been friends with her for several years and we've seen each other on more than one occasion. Nothing physical ever happened between us, but there was a point when we both had some feelings for each other, then realized we lived too far apart to do anything about it, and that was that. We've remained friends though. So anyway, we stayed at her place for two nights, drinking and just hanging out. When it was time for my friend and I to go home, she came back with us for two more nights. Now knowing my friend, I figured he would try to get with her, since he's on the other end of the spectrum when it comes to casual sex. I felt a little weird about it, to be honest, but I wasn't going to cockblock him. Sure enough they ended up fucking.
A few hours later she texts me from the train home asking if my friend was into her or if it was just a one time thing. I told her my friend only does one time things. She responded with disappointment because she was kind of into him, and now she feels like a whore. I said that's too bad.
It just made me think, so I posted this thread.

Re: Seriously, what's my deal?
So maybe you don't have an urge to actually go have sex but do you still masturbate, fantasize, watch porn and stuff like that? Or is there like... no interest in sex...at all?

I find porn comical and fake. I've only been turned on by maybe one or two of the hundreds I've watched. I stopped watching it altogether. I don't really fantasize at all any more. I masturbate at most maybe once a week, and it takes a lot of concentration to keep it up.

Re: Seriously, what's my deal?
I dont give a shit about sex either. I dont go out and party or anything though, and I probably would if I had the chance, but unlike my close friends, I'm not going to go out of my way just to get laid.

Re: Seriously, what's my deal?
Then you just happened to be born with a fucked sex drive, cause if nothing turns you on not even porn then there is no other explanation other then you're missing the best dna part of being a male.
Hey atleast you wern't born without an arm, I think that would suck more.

Re: Seriously, what's my deal?
Any guy who says he hasn't been through a period like this is a fucking liar. Worrying about having low sex drive makes you have a low sex drive. It's not even such a bad thing. And whilst you may feel bad about being a virgin, trust me sex is unbeleivably overrated. American Pie was an awesomely funny movie, but it has put some funny ideas into teenagers heads about how they have to have had sex before they are such and such years old. It simply aint true.
Just play it out how it feels bro.

Re: Seriously, what's my deal?
you are gay.
.... or perhaps you aren't after the girls who just throw themselves at you :).
IMO: you are thinking to much about your sex life, something people our age tend to do(I'm younger than you, it's okay :D), you should spend your time enjoying what you love - not what society says you should be after.
