Anyone have an AK101?
Hey....I was considering getting an AK101 soon.....wanted to know if anyone had one and if so what did they think about it? Any info or opinions will be gladly accepted. thanks in advance!
Oh, and for those who dont know what it looks like:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/20/RUS_AK-101.jpg
I have a Chinese AK-47 which I tried to replicate the look of the AK-74, but I like the 101 partially because of the composites and mostly because of the new folding stock design.

The gas system looks crazy as hell. Other than that, do you know of any differences between that and the AK-47 and variances, like the WASR 10?
Speaking of that, is there any difference between the Romanian clones(hell, for that even Hungarian or Chinese clones) and the original Russian Ak-47's?(Besides manufacture material)?
Ive heard of WASR-10's being "Bottom of the bucket" as far as AK's are concerned, but ive never had any problems with it, so im having a hard time understanding differences.

You honestly cant tell me that looks much better. We might have different standards of beauty, but machines that function like they were intended to are the most beautiful machines on this earth.
Holy fucking paintball, let me find a picture of a real M-16.

Re: Anyone have an AK101?
Might want to ask here.
You might not want to get an AK in 5.56 Nato.
Mainly because the War on Terrorâ„¢ has jacked up ammo prices.
Sadly the same thing has happened to 7.62x39.

Re: Anyone have an AK101?
I frequent those forums, and I feel that these forums are more closer to my heart. Ive been on those forums for quite awhile, but I feel that theyre just a bunch of "Ak vs AR' robots, and I dont feel that way.
Its got nothing to with with ammo prices. Even if prices were 15 dollars a box of 20, the AK would be my rifle of choice.
I genuinely want to know how people feel about it. Even you, Faithless.

Re: Anyone have an AK101?
Well its meant to be lighter, is more expensive, isn't sold by many places.
Don't know much more.
Read up on them here a while back.
