Default Love; Real, or just an illusion

I have never fallen for anyone, so I begin to wonder if it is real. Does one have to be in love to know it's real, well in that case how do you know love if you have it.

How do you know life is real?

How do you know you are real?

Its just a matter of faith, if you have faith that you, that life, that love exists, then for you at least it will exist. We create our own realities, so what is the "exists" for one person is a complete lie to somebody else.

That doesn't mean it isn't an illusion, it just means that you are willing to lie to yourself if it isn't.

Well... at least in the sense of "the hardware is very much there," yes, yes it is in fact real. One can ascertain this without even having to experience it by eating a decent quantity of MDMA, for instance.

Does one have to be in love to know it's real...

Nah. One could study neurochemistry and structural neuropsychology to know it just fine.

...well in that case how do you know love if you have it.

heh.

It's much, much easier to know love if you have it, than to know that something's not quite really pure love if you have it, actually. Lots of people mistake things like codependance, jealousy, posessiveness, what have one... which it's not.

Drop MDMA, find out what the "love" fuss is all about, and compare your future experiences to that. If nothing else matches it, well... enjoy the one you're with while you wait to find the one you love.

I've been in love for about 20 hours in my whole life. The times I was were so good that I never doubted it existed afterwords.

I'm starting to doubt it's existence too!

I'm turning 23 in a month, and I have yet to experience this "love" that everyone talks about.

If by 23 I haven't felt it, either it doesn't exist, or I've felt it and it wasn't all it's made it out to be, or I'm broken...

Drop MDMA, find out what the "love" fuss is all about, and compare your future experiences to that.

I've done E like hundreds of times, and I've never felt anything even close while sober.

Although.. I have experienced infatuation... Or at least that's what I'm told. And that can feel pretty cool.

But an ecstasy high is just something totally different...

It's hard to compare them.
