Printers can't print white.

Sorry, I should have rephrased that - your average desktop printer with standard carts can't print white. I'm guessing that's what the OP has sitting in front of him.

I know commercial quality ones can print white.

Just choose a really really light shade of grey. Ive done this before and it works nicely.

Grey is only a very thin layer of black ink, it wouldn't show up white on black paper...

Oh, well idk how I got it to work before then. I thought that I just used a light shade of gray....
