I hope I'm not bugging anyone with all of my question threads. I know I could probably ask in the other forum[s], since many have been basic questions about vb and not Totse specific. But I feel I get a much higher ratio of helpful answers to bullshit or such.

Anyway, my question today is about rating threads. I know how to do it, but where does the results show up? I didn't see them on the forum page, nor in the thread itself.

Of course it's possible I just didn't see it - I have a bad habit of looking at something yet not seeing it.

Word. For the first few days, people could rate threads and it would show up. I'm glad it was disabled. Seems pretty unnecessary.

The regulars in Half Baked probably know the vBulletin features better than any of us, especially the rep system.

I don't really give out rep, though. A post has to be REALLY good for my mind to click and say "Hey, they deserve rep."

As far as I know rating threads isn't implemented, I've had a look round every vBul feature I can and it doesn't show up anywhere.

Although Meta, since we were asking about it it might interest you to know I managed to find the Thread Notes after a thorough search. It's under Thread Tools, you have to click the Edit Thread button and then Perform Action. It's there under the thread title.

Darn fiddly place to put it.

I'm finding this new system very interesting to play about with,allthough it's scary to do anything new because I'm afraid of the risk of it doing something to mess up a thread, annoy or even worse, somehow ban a user.
The users note thing was very confusing to me. The merge thread thing was very confusing to me.

They still are, infact. The thread tools function look interesting yet daunting.

In any case, I know that even if ratings are enabled, a certain number of people (I forget how many) have to rate the same thread before it will show up; they need enough to establish an average.
