Default Admin request.

1) Could you demod Cloaked Dagger in W&C for inactivity please?
2) Could you mod Cboys.
3) Can you remove the "This forum is about real weapons - Threads about paintball, airsoft, and other sport related combat may posted in Go Team." from our forum description.
4) Can you demod myself.

Thanks for your time.

Well if we're recommedig people to be demodded, I'd have to throw Trousersnakes name i the list too. He's show over the past few weeks (and lord knows what I missed while I was on vacation the past few days), that he has absolutely no business being a mod.

don't be a baby, and stop your bitching, seriously, everybody stop your bitching. (not in this thread, but I mean in the M&A forum)

It's one thing to point out an inactive mod, but to recommend someone to be demodded just because you don't like them...that doesn't seem appropriate here. Take that to a PM, I'd say.

On the topic of inactivity, jvm222 has been MIA from Headshrinkers for at least 2 months now. Something to look into, perhaps. I don't remember him saying he'd be gone or anything.

Entheogenic

That is NOT why I am recommending him. PERSONALLY I don't have a problem with him. I mean sure he insults me and half the other moderators here, but that is no reason to demod someone.

And sybil, how is recommending someone to be demodded bitching? It is a legitimate request, and I am not the only one who feels that way.

I have a request for you, before you keep going around very RUDELY telling people to 'stop their bitching', try actually doing some READING. Trousersnake has had one complaint after another in M&A for weeks and weeks, and as of yet I haven't seen an admin say ANYTHING about any of them. The only REACTION we get from them is people like YOU telling us to 'stop bitching', and Trousersnake acting like a complete asshole in return, just acting worse and worse towards everyone else. Several of us brought up complaints, they were never resolved. Just because I went on vacation for a week doesn't mean I'm going to just forget about something that happened before I left.

IGNORING a problem is not the way to fix it.

And HELL, you'd might as well call demodding people for inactivity "bitching". Acidmelt once demodded me from R&R because of 'inactivity' not because I stopped moderating in R&R (which I didnt, I was still posting in their regularly), but because I stopped talking in #totse on irc.slashnet.org

So once again sybil, if you don't have anything to contribute, why are you constantly telling p eople to 'stop bitching'?

If i wanted to BITCH about someone, I would BITCH about them in B&M, but as this is a SERIOUS REQUEST that has to do with someone being MODERATOR, I am posting it in the M&A forum.

hey, I wasn't just talking about you...There's just too much bitching in general going on in M&A, try to take care of your own problems before making it a public thing. Send some emails, try to talk it out. Try beeing independent a bit more.

And still, if it doesn't get resolved then, take it up with a super mod, not in public like this.

seriously, what next, need somebody to come hold your dick to take a pee?

anyway, I really can't be bothered with stuff like this. It's something that could easily be resolved by talking it out by yourselves, by taking it in public, you're only making it worse.

by taking it in the open like this, it kinda makes me feel like you just wanna hear people say "you're right sambob" which is not the way to resolve this.

What makes you think I DIDNT try to take it to a supermod? Who would I take it to?

Zok has been out of town, acidmelt is mostly inactive, MLOR has JUST said in a recent thread something along the lines of "thats it, I'm not going to use any of my supermod access anymore".

And sybil be honest with me:

After observig the behavior of Trousersnake i this forum over the past few weeks, do you REALLY think that me emailing him would have solved the issue? And ot just me emailing him, all of the other people that had problems with him? Hell in PRIVATE it would be a free for all. I hoped that i 'public' he would at least be concious of the fact that people are watching, of course it appears its backfired, as he just does't care what ANYONE thinks of him.

What is your deal sybil? We've both been around here long enough that you should know that I do not LIKE attention, and I do not LIKE posting anywhere other than R&R, OI, Go Team,, etc forums where I can just have fun and have good discussions.

But thank you for just assuming the worst, loved your whole "need someone to hold your dick to take a pee", that was a very helpful answer. For someoe who 'can't be bothered' with stuff like this, you are sure doing a great job MAKING IT WORSE.

And one more question, how are you not talking to me when you QUOTE me, and then go on to say something?

Your whole "dont be a baby stop bitching stop the drama" kick you have been on i this forum recently is doing absolutely NOTHING but going to make SOME people angry at YOU, which is the LAST thing we need, considering a lot of people are lettig their emotions get the best of them, which has GOT to be counterproductive to actually solving some of the problems around here and GETTING THINGS DONE.

I said I wasn't JUST talking about you. With that I ment, I'm talking about you, but also about other mods who bitch or just act un-modlike. But you know, I don't get along with every mod either, but you won't see me making threads about it. Seriously, just let it go, lighten up a bit.

Thats where you are missing the point man. I didnt start that thread because I 'did't get along with him'. Up until that point I had barely even noticed him post.

I started that thread because I felt it was totally inappropriate for ANY moderator to post a thread like he did in R&R (or in any other forum). Now, after all of his insults, nonsensical argumets, essentially implying that about half a dozen (at least, its probably may more by ow) of us are complete idiots and don't know what we're doing.. - sure, I don't like him now. But I'm not about to take 'not liking him' all over THIS forum. Its nobody elses business. However, the issue that I originally brought up STILL stands.

-The guy posted an icredibly off topic thread in R&R, that in many ways could be cosidered spam (he even admitted so in THAT thread).

-The guy still feels that it was okay of him to do so.

I apologise to the entire M&A forum at large if it seems like I am just bitching and moaning, but I see what I just listed right there as a big problem. A moderators primary reason for existing is to just be a good poster, but we ARE there to keep the forums clea as well when needed. When another moderator both stops being a good poster, and does something to make it harder for THREE other moderators (plus the others in that thread who agreed with me) to do the SECOND prt of their job - I think something needs to be done bout that guy (Trousersnake). That is what my ENTIRE position on this boils down to. Is this all clear to you sybil?

I apologise to Entheogenic for postig this long bit of stuff in your thread, but you said that I just recommended Trousersnake because I did't like him, well I wanted to explain to you WHY I threw his name into the pot.

I would never make a thread about another moderator just because I dont like him or her, that would be just incredibly ridiculous, and wouldnt get us anywhere

And lo, it begins again.

Not that I've not had some problems with him too, but this thread really isn't the place to bring this kind of thing up. If ignoring a problem isn't the way to fix it, neither is bringing it up in threads where it's not even relevant. This was a simple request to demod a clearly inactive mod, nothing more.

Well I don't see what was wrong with throwing his name into the mix as well. My request was simple as well. I only eleborated because etheogenic decided to tell everyone that HE thought my request was based on some kind of persoal dislike for the guy.

Bit of advice. You've got your head screwed on so its nothing anyway.
1) Always move threads, never lock them. It'll fit somewhere and cuts whining.
2) If a threads got no answers and its not stupid answer it if you can. If you can't at least you've bumped it so others can get a second look.
3) When in doubt refer them on to dedicated websites.

I reckon you'll do fine. Good luck.

Well guess what. YOUR EMAIL IS NOT DISPLAYED. You also have personal messages disabled (and they DO work, as I have used them with Euda).

So don't give me this 'wah wah I've never once received an email fro you' when this shit has been discussed constantly on this VERY FORUM for weeks right in front of your nose.

But hey man no hard feelings I don't have anything against you, this past month when Zok's been away I sort of assumed you were expected to pick up the slack. If that wasn't the case then I apologise for complaining about you, I didn't mean to dump problems on you that you aren't in a position to address for whatever reason.

I'm quite a bit more prone to spam and useless messages from users than you guys.

But okay, I edited my profile, and my email is listed under "Occupation", that way the idiots don't see it in my sig and start spamming.

I also made that contact thread a sticky for Sambob's ease of locating it.

Well thats very nice, but you have no business using the excuse of "I didnt get an email so thats why i didnt do anything" when your email isnt easily displayed.

And I dont mean to sound condescending or something like that (I'm just guessing what people will call it, they always choose one of three or four of the same nonsensical insults), but if you aren't prepared to receive emails from totse members, then you shouldn't be putting yourself in a position where you SHOULD be receiving lots of emails.

SHOULDNT your email address be PROMINENTLY displayed since you are a SUPER MOD, so users can come to you with problems?

I understand that you dont fix probles, you're a supermod for other reasons, we know that, but the USERS dont know that. You have to consider what the average reglar is going to think ishe or he has some kind of serious problem and doesnt know that you arent the person to take it to.

Its been done before in the mailing list, though it assumes that all moderators are 'required' to read this forum - which would be kind of shitty. If I wasn't so concerned with the state of these forums, I sure as hell wouldn't even be reading M&A myself.... and I'm sure many other people feel the same way.

Well that's just dumb.
Considering this place is vital to communicate amongst ALL mods instead of sending Emails to a few of them.

I'd figure that a mod that didnt even check this place for important messages from Jeff once in a while doesent really take their role as a mod seriously enough.

EEK!

How? how?

I've known there was a mod forum since waaay before I became a mod. How could a mod not know?!

I've got links to OI,GPP,S&A,Mods and Admins, Set the style, My god,A&D and NA. It was impossible for me to miss the mods forum when I logged on for the first time as mod as it's right smack in your face there at the top of the thingie.

But if they dont check here, how would they know about Jeffs important information for us and such?

I'm not criticising, I'm just..shocked. M&A is important to me, it's a good way to communicate with a wide range of other mods and know I'm doing stuff right. I cant imagine how a mod would do without atleast touching base here occaisionaly.

Well...because it didn't exist.

Many posters, and some moderators, don't login unless they have a reason to do it. There are alot of reasons not bother going to the mainpage if you use the Forum Jump dropdown menu, or so I've been told.

The mod forum was made maybe a couple of weeks before you became a mod :p But it's always fun to spread rumours, and it's funny to see regulars acting superior because they think they know something others don't.

Any mod that doesn't go to the Community page wouldn't know about M&A. It doesn't show up on the drop-down menu, and as somebody said a lot of people just have direct links to their forums and don't have any need to look at the Community page. I think it was Biopsy (or however the capitalisation goes) that dropped in and said he'd only just noticed this forum because he doesn't usually sign in unless it's to post or moderate, and you can't see the M&A forum if you're not logged in as a mod.
