You must not have taken it very seriously after all, if you are upset to see the thread deleted. Personally, I try not to take anything in HB seriously, as a general rule. Ever since it became HB, and for as long as I can remember when it was still B&M, it has never been a serious forum.

I hear you on that one. In the town I live we get invaded by THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of crows about once a year. Its coming soon I think and I do NOT look forward to it. For about a week the skies will literally just go BLACK while you're driving around as they block the light from the sun. And of course when it passes, your car will be covered with bird shit. If Zok reads this he can confirm this.

Sqawking is one thing, but just be glad that you're not a part of the real life version of the movie The Birds!

Hah Crows are different. I love it when there are loads of Crows around, (well I actually think they're ravens?), especially if I'm wearing my leather trenchcoat. I can pretend to be a short fat placid version of 'the crow'.


Get alot of house martens and swallows nesting here. Do you get them in America?
Alot of the babies died when the weather got warm and then randomly got cold again.:( But there are still enough of them around to drive me mad. I can literally climb out of my window and look down on the little fuckers.

I love birdsong, though. I don't mind it at all unless I'm trying to get to sleep at dawn. Wood pigeons make a pretty noise.

Crows are uncool. They are the height of uncool animals.

Back when I used to walk to school early in the morning there were a pair of huge fuck-off ravens that would watch me when I crossed the park. Pretty much every morning they'd be on the fence at the opposite side. Freaked me out during winter when it was frosty, they stared at me.

It's a ridiculous thing to complain about, but people do. In this area you're not allowed cockrels or creatures of a similar "lets crow at 6am every damn day!!" type animals for that very reason. I allways wanted a cock.
