Dad's Fiancee's Daughters...
So I moved away to live with my dad, to get away from a lot of problems I was having back home at my moms, and I found out that my dad is engaged again. When I first met my soon-to-be step-siblings, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were quite attractive. Immediately though, I pushed away any thought of them being potential hook-ups, as I figured they would be thinking the same thing.
Well, I was out the other night with my dad and his fiancee, and she seemed to be a bit tipsy, possibly even drunk. She started talking to me about how one of her daughters really liked me.
So of course, I just figure that she means in a... more family oriented way.
But then later on in the conversation, we got to discussing a trip to their family cottage coming up in August, and how each of her daughters will be bringing a (female) friend with them. Then my dad says "And plus... it's not like you're actually related to them (fiancee's daughters) anyway"
I was a bit shocked at this, and waited for any sign of it being a joke, or at least for a follow-up comment from him OR from his fiancee...
What the fuck am I supposed to make of this? This is oddly suspicious!
I mean, I don't see any moral or legal reason why there would be anything wrong with hooking up with either of them. But on the other hand, it could obviously lead to complications in the future, since it would be hard to completely avoid someone that is that intertwined into your family, just in case things got weird.
Maybe I should just stay away from it all, but I still can't tell what to make of this conversation, and what it could possibly have implied...

Under normal circumstances, it's perfectly fine.
But this sounds suspiciously like a trap.

Re: Dad's Fiancee's Daughters...
A relationship under these circumstances? Little to no chance. I mean, it'd be your soon-to-be step sister. That's not really a huge taboo, but it's still gonna be awkward. If it was just about the sex, then it could work. Awkwardness would still possibly exist, but it wouldn't even be half as bad, I reckon.
The whole idea that your dad and his fiancee would hint that to you is a little bit too strange though. I'm sensing some kind of elaborate prank. Either that, or they just want a very *coughs* close family.

Or even better, make it the most fucked up wedding in history, and have a double wedding! Seriously, that'd be epic to the point of legendary...

Pfft... fuck the comlications. Worst case scenario, things get weird and you learn to cope. We all learn by our mistakes, so don't let the possibility of an awkward situation some time in the future deter you from trying your luck with an attractive female.

Re: Dad's Fiancee's Daughters...
I have a twin brother.
If me and him met twin sister, and we both marry them... Wouldn't that be a similar situation?
Would it be wrong?
I think the novelty of twins marrying twins would be more then the fact that I married my sister-in-law.
No blood connection, no problem!
...But, you could do the mature thing, and talk to your soon to be step sisters. Communication is the key!

Parents are never okay with their children hooking up. I cant even begin to imagine what they're baiting you into, but if I were you...I'd stay clear.

Well? Scientists say that genetically incest is usually not a problem?
But look a it in a relationship way. If you haven't had a bad breakup with lots of hate/acrimony? You've heard of it happening. Say you have a breakup with someone who you can't 'never-see-again'? Someone who you'd gladly never see again?
But you must see them constantly? Because they're family?
That's why the thexxual relations within families is bad. Should you kill your brother over you both wanting the thexxth with your sister? Isn't that the definiton of 'Sick'?
Gaddie? How would a bad breakup with these girls affect your dad's relationship with his fiance & her daughters? Are they living together? What if you all were? How aukward would it be?

Re: Dad's Fiancee's Daughters...
About the whole trap/prank suggestion, I highly doubt that. There's no way my dad would do this to me, and I'm pretty sure no one else involved would be capable of something like this, even if they were sinister enough to even consider it.
But we all know you will, you can't help yourself :p
No no no!! I never even said that I intend on going for her... I just wanted some clarification on the whole thing.
The older sister has a friend that I'm actually kinda into, so if anything I will be trying to get with her. (Note: emphasis on IF ANYTHING).
But nevertheless, I am curious about what this whole conversation at the bar was supposed to mean, if anything.
Don't shit where you sleep. When I want to do something fucked up, I distant it from my life so it won't come back.
I usually live by that notion actually. It's probably the main thing that would hold me back from something like this.
I say do it. So what if its awkward? It's that hot awkwardness, that sexual tension. Never let your life get boring.
I see what you're saying, and I don't mind having that kind of sexual tension at times, but if this person might soon be a family member... it means a possibly VERY long term commitment to this tension. No possible escape in case it gets *too weird*. I mean, I have some female friends that I have slept with, but I can always stop hanging out with them if it gets too weird. A step-sibling is kinda hard to avoid.
Wait... fuck, let her come on to you. Chill at the beach house and let her give you hints or not
That's probably the best advice in this thread as far as determining the validity of the whole thing.
I will probably do just that... of course while keeping my options open to the friends they each bring with them. This little trip is going to be pretty fun actually.. :D
It's an obvious joke.
A person doesn't have to say "JUST KIDDING" for something to be a joke.
Yeah I still see that as a likely possibility. Maybe my soon-to-be-stepmom didn't hear him say it (although she was sitting right in between us at the time...)
Oh well, it still is highly likely that I'm just blowing the whole thing out of proportion.
Yeah that's the main thing that is stopping me from pursuing anything with either of them. The whole 'don't shit where you eat' thing. It could just fuck a lot of things up.
If I were about 5 years younger, I would have probably been all obsessed with the idea. Actually, I had a hot step-sister back then, and I would have slept with her in a second. But now I am more concerned with the after-effects of my actions. It's like I can see farther into the future now that I'm older and more mature.
how am i the first to do this?
PIX, DAMN IT!!!
I don't have any pix unfortunately. I just moved here so I've only even hung out with them a few times.

Yeah, that was the only moment in all of those Star Wars Robot Chicken's that I actually was laughing uncontrollably, most of the jokes and gags were good, just not unbelievably so like the Admiral Ackbar cereal.

Well...it makes a lot more sense for step-siblings to help each other hook up with their friends & aquaintances.
Sure, things can still get a bit akward...but not so weirdly.
