My job...AGAIN
So my husband STILL hates my babysitting job...And I'm thinking about just throwing in the towel. However, I have a few reasons for not doing this.
1. I don't want to give up the income and I don't want to be seen as unreliable and irresponsible.
2. My husband has no good reason for wanting me to stop...So if I do it's just going to show him YET AGAIN that by constantly bitching, he can get me to do what he wants.
My reasons for giving it up are:
1. The mother of the kids is kind of unreliable...Like she's constantly switching days on me.
2. My husband complains about it pretty much nonstop.
So my friends...That is my conundrum.

Re: My job...AGAIN
Tell your husband to shove it. I understand that some guys have a problem with "their woman" having a job, but you need to show him that he can't bully you and force you into doing things just because he whines and bitches about it. If you're going to quit, do it because YOU want to, not because he wants you to. If the job isn't getting in the way of you taking care of your daughter, the house, him and any other things you do, then he should just get over it and in fact be happy that you're trying to be a bit more self-reliant. Perhaps a lot to ask of a neanderthal, but still.

Re: My job...AGAIN
Does he have a problem with you having a job, or with you babysitting? If it's the latter, I can see his point.

Re: My job...AGAIN
Seriously, I read the other thread and I would be pissed. I can usually relate to your husband in ALOT of your posts. If he's anything like me, he'd prefer his house to be quiet and most importantly HIS. If I were in his position I would be going crazy by now. I like solitude and absolutely hate other people treating my house like their own, especially children. They're the worst because you can't do anything like walk around in your underwear drinking beer without it being socially unacceptable. It just makes me feel like my house isn't even mine. Perhaps he feels the same way.
Also, my life with my parents was terrible. They were very overprotective and never gave me ANY privacy, which is the reason I feel that way.
