Relationship problem
Ummm, well. I'm admittedly, not a good boyfriend. Not in terms of 'cheating' or anything alike.
I just don't want to be in a relationship anymore
1) I don't have the balls/heart to tell someone that
2) I don't have the brains to think of some ingenious plan, like, catching her with my best friend, somehow
I dont know anything really, im not great at all. This is actually even the first relationship i've actually been in too.
...Cheers from australia
I feel worse even having to ask on a forum, but, plain and simple. Just don't want anything to do with a partner. For now.
Well, thanks, I expected to get flamed to =(

Re: Relationship problem
You're going to have to man up and tell her. It's the only way, and probably the way that will hurt her the least. Just make sure you give a good reason - "I just don't wan't to" won't cut it.

Re: Relationship problem
Thankyou, thankyou a heap actually.
I thought about that being more of a 'last resort' But I just needed to hear the from someone else, as more of like, a clarification... This probably sounds so childish, and I suspect it does.
Thankyou again =)

Re: Relationship problem
The first time is always the hardest, I remember when I dumped my first girlfriend. I was really nervous, I didnt know what to say. I ended up just saying "hey, its over." She cryed, I walked away. She called me a few times after, and then I havnt heard from her since.

Re: Relationship problem
It seems you are having trouble expressing it in real life, but at the same time you did a decent job of letting it out on Totse. I read an article on MSN... about breaking up through email. Sometimes that's exactly what you have to do. If you can't verbally say it, maybe an email can drive home the point to your partner. It won't be half as bad... just do it. Plus, you'll be spared from having to witness her reactions (if any) first hand, and tackle any questions that she emails back at your own convenience. Just my $0.02.

Re: Relationship problem
Send her a text saying 'It's over.'
Seriously. Who gives a fuck. Fuck all you fucking pansies on this forum, stop putting the pussy on a pedestal. Women all think we're assholes anyway. Jack your an older guy with experience I can't beleive you would dis 'Bro's before Ho's', your bro's will be there for you and understand you the way no woman ever will. You all keep saying you don't cheat, always respect, unconditionally love your GF's etc. Your all losers.
Here are the real rules of a successful (if not healthy) relationship.
1 - What she doesn't know won't hurt her.
2 - No one woman can satisfy someone on a physical and emotional level.
3 - .. ?
4 - Profit.

Yeah, we're all huge idiots for treating women like people.

My, that does sound successful! Nothing says "healthy relationship" like deception, narcissism, and greed!
STFU
To the OP, you really need to man up and do this in person. None of this e-mail/instant messenger bullshit. That's impersonal. If you really can't do it, at least do it over the phone. And do it soon, because women are smarter than you think and she'll figure it out before you tell her. Which means she'll have time to stew about it. Which means you will open the damn floodgates when you actually do it. Then you're on your own.
Cheers!

Re: Relationship problem
I know it's cliche, but it really isn't her, it's you.
Not that it's your fault, you just aren't ready for whatever type of relationship you have.
Invite her over, pull her into your room (not literally) and sit down on the bed. Apologize, and tell her that it just isn't working out. She will probably cry, and you might also cry.
Now for the aftermath... I have never go the whole, "Break off all contact" thing. I have always remained friends with my exes and it worked out fine. It's just my way, and it works for me.

Re: Relationship problem
Wow. It's been... 4 months since I last posted. Which means it's been 3 months since I broke up...
Well... First off. Silly teenage relationships. =P
I broke up with her. In school. I'm glad I did. So glad. I took advantage of a situation, more or less.
She was hanging around another guy alot, too.
But anyways. I said to her. "I don't want to be in a relationship anymore" (Pretty much like I was instructed to say. =P
Then walked off. She cryed and cryed and cryed, and I'm told I gave her insomnia for a week. Wewt.
It's not like I feel bad. I feel great.
Uhm. I should let Totse know that she stabbed me in the chest one time, and dragged the knife down from about my right pec, to my belly button. Pretty much within a month of going out. Which was a month realising I never wanted a relationship.
Now she's turned into a truanting, school failing whore. And I couldn't care less. I may sound like a hard bastard. Truth is, I suppose I am. =D
Thankyou too all who posted. =)

Re: Relationship problem
'The truth shall set you free' and all that.
Seriously. Just let her know. but..but do it in a public place where she's less likely to knife you.

Re: Relationship problem
If you're not in for the full whack mate, just tell her.
It would be far less painful in the long run if you just let her know now that you're not up for a relationship.

Re: Relationship problem
Breaking up is always a hard thing, especially for first timers.
I just got really drunk and called him at about 4:00am saying that I didn't like him anymore and never really have. That probably isn't the smartest attempt.
To spare her some dignity, make her break up with you, it'll be easier and she'll feel a lot better if she does it. Ditch her several times for your friends and gradually begin ignoring her and she'll pick up on it. Don't do it too fast, though. Over a 2 week period or something.
Or you could just not be a pussy and tell her that you don't like relationships and commitment and tell her you think you'd be better off on your own. If she doesn't understand, fuck her, you're not permanently tied to her. There will be better relationships in store for both of you.
Also, everybody on this forum, for the most part, has/does ask for relationship advice. No need for justifying that, we understand.

This is low.
Just tell her the truth, in person! It is unfair on her to arse around.

The blade went it 2 inches deep at the most, It's a shocking scar and got it tattooed over, which was a shocking pain and quite an eccentric/costly tat. =|
