Friend had a SEX CHANGE? WTF?
I just found out one of my best friends from high school had a sex change and is now a "woman." I can't even wrap my head around this, he was the last person I ever thought would do something like this, I'm getting brain bubbles just thinking about it...
Nothing I knew about him said feminine, at all, except what I thought was a joke about wanting to be a lesbian, WTF???

Gender disphasics often over compensate and try desperately to appear 'normal' or more than normal.
My best friend from childhood is a 6ft4 pyscho, former serviceman, who drank 12 pints a night and was so hard you could roller skate on him.
You can imagine my shock when he told me that he was infact a she. He's had the op and is now female.
My response to him at the time is the way you need to respond to your friend too, even if you totally disagree with his (I should really say 'her') decision, namely:
"I have loved you like a brother and will love you as a sister too".

Nope, not hot. Some good looking friends though.
How to process it? Don't, this one is probably better left unthought about. I mean, support her and her decision, but I wouldn't attempt wrapping my head around it much.

LOL sounds like my friend too. She's tried to teach me Assembler and is lesbian.
When she told me originally i went out and got a copy of Carolyn Cosseys book about her life as a gender disphasic (she was the Bond girl). It helped me a lot. http://www.amazon.co.uk/My-Story-Caroline-Cossey/dp/0571129099/ref=ed_oe_p/202-8980813-1652608?ie=UTF8&qid=1183619283&sr=11-1
The key to getting your head around it is to realise that gender has very little to do with what dangly bits you were born with. Its cellular. Its spiritual.

Re: Friend had a SEX CHANGE? WTF?
If s/he likes girls, then why turn into one, the chances are still the same I guess, but a guy is more likely to find a girl easier in most cases.
Oh well, odd choice.

It isn't a question of turning into one. She is one, her body just had to be realigned.
It similar in some ways to being gay or a paedophile. Transsexuals instinctively know from childhood that they have been assigned the wrong gender.
My friend always knew something wasn't right. As a young boy she happened upon a porn mag and the centre page was girl who had been a man. That was , for my friend, his epiphany. He then spent the next 20 years trying to deny it ...to himself.
My friend used to say " I wish I were simply Gay, I'd wear a bright pink t-shirt with 'Bent as a 5 bob note' on it and fuck what anyone thought".(in Red Neck, Witch Burning, Norfolk a dangerous thing to do).

She showed me her brand new cunny when she got it. I don't claim to be an expert but it looked good to me. I certainly couldn't see any difference.
No pixs of her vag but here's one from the Anne Lawrence site : http://www.annelawrence.com/preecha0201a.jpg
Jackketch's Rule: If it looks like a cunny, scents like a cunny and tastes like one, then it IS a cunny and its owner is female.

I know I'm not competent in this subject, but I think it's not "hard-coded" in to you, it's acquired later in life, I think it's more of a psychological thing.
For example, I don't remember having any thoughts about my gender till I was at least 3 years old.
I could understand it if they were attracted to men, then it would at least make some sense - but they were perfectly straight as males, but changed their genders and became lesbians? Something's about that is just not right.

RLY? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Reimer) Tell me more.
For example, I don't remember having any thoughts about my gender till I was at least 3 years old.
So you only started breastfeeding exclusively from your mother at about age 4, sucking both parents indiscriminately before that?
Tell me... when you were sucking your father, did you get any white protien-filled substance to nourish yourself? Just curious...
Anyways... having asked my daily quota of really annoying questions...

Re: Friend had a SEX CHANGE? WTF?
I knew someone that went through it once, and it is such a complicated issue, I don't really know where to start.
The person I knew went from being *THE* Man's man, to being a shell of a woman, it was upsetting for all of us to see her like that, and she ended up on a huge amount of antidepressants because she couldn't deal with it all, apparently she'd felt like that all her life but had simply wanted to cover it up, she (he at this point) Had been seemingly happily married for about 8 Years, but unable to have a child- A lot of us thought that was what it was about.
Intresting facts; Her (His) Identical twin went through the same thing within 1 Month of each other, without either of them knowing.
She is now good friends with her (his) Ex wife. Funny how things work no?
As for how to deal with it, fuck knows, I'd love to be able to provide you with a response which is simple and works, but at the end of the day it's hard.
On the one hand, it could be a valid medical problem, where the person is actually trapped in the body of the opposite gender.
However, it could also be that this is a psychological problem, a mental illness if you will, and by embracing this we're doing as much damage as agreeing with the insanity of a normal mentally ill person.
Remind her that there's no going back, this is a decision for life and no matter how well it goes, things will be difficult untill the day she dies.

Re: Friend had a SEX CHANGE? WTF?
The person I knew went from being *THE* Man's man,.
Like I said, it is often the most seemingly 'macho'....over compensation.
My friend used to do things like hold his bare forearm over his zippo until the flesh charred. Saved him having to fight somedays cos it made the other guy realise that this gonna be a 'jailyard or graveyard' fight.
He drove like a top rally pro, had countless female admirers, liked heavy metal and drank snake bite by the gallon.
I still call her when I need some meching help and there aren't many people, men or women, who can lift out an engine block on their own with just a bit of old seat belt.
I suppose when she told me I didn't take it seriously til a bit later when I found her on the street sobbing her heart out. Some of the local red necks had been mean to her.
Believe me when I say , without exaggeration, that before the meds she would have put each of those 4/5 men in hospital.
Later they beat her so bad that she damn near lost her sight (this is Norfolk, kinda like the Appalachians without the hilly bits).
But she didn't reconsider her decision for a second.

Were it not for the location, we could be talking about the exact same person. I guess being trapped in the body of the opposite gender makes people a certain way.

Re: Friend had a SEX CHANGE? WTF?
i just cant wrap my head around it...
Well what is there to wrap you mind around. For me I personally believe that a lot of this is genetic and happens in the way in which our brains develop. Same for people who are gay or lesbian. Little of it is influnced by our environment. But for me a lot of it was influnced by environmental factors. I like girls though and like things from both genders. And because of this I plan not to get surgery at all. I tend to have to be more mascaline also. And for some people I suppose they abuse drugs and act crazy because of how hard it can be to cope with this if it is denied.

Re: Friend had a SEX CHANGE? WTF?
jackketch is full of shit, and fucked in the head, but that's nothing new. in anycase you aren't 'assigned' sex anymore than you are 'assigned' humanhood. nobody assigned you anything and pretending somebody made a mistake when they 'assigned' you is a ridiculously stupid justification for doing what they do, but then again it would be impossible to find a rational reason to chop off your tits or dick and masquerade as something that you aren't. these subhuman piles of trash are fucked in the head, they are a waste of life.
op: that fuckin sucks, if i was you i would treat that bitch like shit for wasting years of your life lying to you. these psychos dont just wake up one day and say "hey im gonna saw off my package today", they plan it for years. it knew from the beginning that it was wasting your time, insidiously lying to you about who they really were. you dont even know this sack of shit, so why should you support, congratulate or take pity on them?
