A very frustrating problem, that NEEDS RESOLUTION.
One of my good friends that moved to Texas, has a very hot, awesome, funny, mature friend. My friend already has a girlfriend. This girl used to have feelings for him, she recently told me that those feelings are WAY out the window. All the girls I have dated, talked to, or considered a relationship with in the past, are complete fugly BITCHES, compared to her. She's the most amazing person I have ever talked to in my life. She said that she likes me too, and that I'm "one of the most amazing people I have ever laid eyes on, and talked to". In the past I would talk to a girl she would treat me like shit, I have been used and cheated on more than I can count. But this girl is different. She is AMAZING on so many levels, it blows me away, it has set me back in my shoes to say the least.
I second guess myself ALOT. I'm starting to do that now. I want to be with this girl. But I can't that's the problem. If I am somehow able to get with her though, it would make all the pain I have experienced in the past to have been worth it. I think she is the girl that I meant for, and according to her little sister, and my friend, she's pretty crazy about me too.
My problem is that she lives 980miles from me. My problem is, I am so set up, up here, it's not even funny. I have an awesome house, awesome $15/hour job, my parents take care of alot things, food, payments etc. I have more money than God up here. Everything is sooo set. If I move down there though, I would go from a huge house, to an apartment. I would be starting over, making new friends, meeting new people. It would be a completely different culture. Completely different climate. This girl, I think may be worth it though. I'm 18, ready to start my freshman year in a local college, then transferring to another after a couple years... Or that was the plan. I know what I want to do, but I dont know if I should give up almost everything I have to move and go to school down there
If anyone could give me ANY advice, i would really appreciate it.:)

Honestly, you started ranting and raving about shit I that isn't at all connected to one another. Summarize your point in 2 sentences, and I'll help you out.

Re: A very frustrating problem, that NEEDS RESOLUTION.
You're just 18, and you seem to have a pretty good setup where you're at right now. If this bitch is really that crazy about you, she can make the effort and move to where you are. It's obvious you've been treated like shit by past girlfriends, as you clearly are thinking that all the hardwork in a relationship should fall on your shoulders, and no one elses.

She's actually considering it. She's trying to figure out what she really wants to do with her life. I only considered it because I hate my family and hate how my parents control and try to get involved in my life. The only reason I dont want to move is that this place is all that I have known. I moved here from south carolina when I was in second grade. All of my history that means ANYTHING, took place in this town. She has lived there since she was two. So it's pretty much the same way for her. The one difference between our situations is that she loves her family and they mean alot to her, me on the other hand can't stand my dysfunctional family and want to go away. Thats why I took it upon myself.

Re: A very frustrating problem, that NEEDS RESOLUTION.
The grass is always greener on the other side. I am not questioning your affection for each other, but who doesn't have issues with their parents. That's part of growing up, and you should not give up all your blessings, especially your job for a long distance relationship, which you are not even sure will work out. Take it slow for now... meet up once in a while and see what life has in store for you. I am positive your outlook on many things will change as the years go by.

He's retarded. 83 MPH isn't THAT fast, and regardless of what he might say, I never felt like I might die. He would have shit his pants if he had gotten us after that.

Re: A very frustrating problem, that NEEDS RESOLUTION.
yeah man tell her that you've gotta go to college so that in the future you can support a family or some excuses like that but tell her you want to be with her and if she could move in with you maybe you could make things work....that should get her to come to you
edit: btw, if you follow this advice and it works and everything in your life become awesome, please tell me so i can feel good about myself and bask in your reflected glory...and im not joking.

Re: A very frustrating problem, that NEEDS RESOLUTION.
Meh, every time I post something of this like everyone stomps my nuts, tells me my feelings aren't real, and urges me to get a life, but whatever.
ANYWHO! Why not pick a nice place/location/state and both move there together? Not necessarily move in together, but move near each other? Perhaps plan on going to the same college or something.
An idea, a stupid idea, but an idea nonetheless.

Re: A very frustrating problem, that NEEDS RESOLUTION.
If you think your feelings for this girl are genuine and that hers are too, then discuss the situation with her. There may be financial or other practical reasons for choosing which of you moves. If not, pick somewhere in the middle that suits both your needs and both move. No relationship ever survives without compromise on both sides. If you're both prepared to make sacrifices just to give it a shot then good on you and you probably have more of a shot at lasting than most. Make sure neither of you feel resentful about the move though otherwise you'll be condemning yourself to a life of 'I moved all this way and gave up X, Y and Z for you' every time you have an argument.
Best of luck either way hun.

Oh, if you DO end up in jail, I'll look after the MINI for you. I'll wash her, and wax her, and clean her real good, inside and out. I'll put my car outside, and her inside. I'll make sure she never sees rain, and is babied like my grandmother's Grand Marquis.

Girls that sounds so perfect always are, on the other hand you're an adult now, and if you want to do something stupid in the name of love, I say all power to you :)
Make sure she's worth it.

dude if it fails what are you gonna do?
do you actually own a home of your own? If i owned a home at 18 i would be making sure that thing stays in my name...
if you do move you should rent out the house and live off of the rent at the new place...

Re: A very frustrating problem, that NEEDS RESOLUTION.
Take a month or two vacation down there. I'd think that long might be enough to get a better understanding as to whether or not you two are for eachother. Nobody's saying your feelings aren't real, they are. It's just that your feelings might not be reliable. For example, I'm sure you felt about the same for many girls before. That they were 'the one' and 'worth it.' Think of how many of them weren't. It's just an X factor that you really need to think of.
