If you select his name, find all posts, you can delete all of his threads in your forum.

3 was in W&C.

I've got a really strong case of deja vu.

Ok, SG was mainly hit - my 4 forums are sorted and I've given them infractions that have lead to the bans of I hope, all of them.

Usernames are:

Tidbit

bender-tender

N.T.Maximum

Microwave30sec

NucleonChargePhase

Basically, they were copying threads, from any forum and just spamming them - at first they looked like legit threads, and then there was a few pages of the fuckers in SG.

So hmm, prema-ban kthnx!

We really don't need 4-chan vs. totse war.

Out of interest why aren't you deleting the locked threads?

I firstly went through and infractioned them, they didnt look like spam until I clicked back to the main forum page and saw ALL of it.

I'll delete them soon, don't worry yourself about how I mod :p

This "soft delete" only is fucking bullshit. I've got eight threads in Redmond that are "deleted" and it looks as ugly as as brown recluse spider bite.

Is there a reason the only option is "soft delete?"

If the one holding the lightbulb drinks fast enough, the rest don't have to worry. :p

I also notice CPT.LAWL and some link to a Rick Astley song in fake news threads posted a few times. If any other forums have that problem?

It was...look on the second page and see how many 'Needle Question' threads there are.

Take note of the usernames Kate and everyone posted as some of the thread titles would SEEM to fit into bltc but are really just spam that laid everywhere else also.

Sorry, some of us had to be up early today ;)

I'm not going to get into this supermod thing again except to say - look at what happened last night, it could have been much worse. The timezone thing is a big factor here, most spammers hit when its night in america - when we've had spam attacks in the past its mainly been the au/nz/uk mods cleaning it up first.

And thanks to those that have faith in me :)

But it isn't like the world ends if it takes another 4 hours for spam to be cleaned up. It could have been much worse, but that had nothing to do with how you handled it, it had everything to do with the willingness of the spammers to make it worse. I'm just saying, deleting spam, which all mods know to do, is hardly a case for being supermod.

I just think it's cute you and your "supporters" think otherwise. :)

I think that we all did very well.
Spam, I hate it, it's tiresome, it's annoying, and the people who do it are usually those mindless little teenagers who think it's really l33t to post shitty little threads everywhere.

But it doesent mean we need another supermod.
It's good we've got mods that can deal with stuff in all forums if there's an urgent reason to do so, but I can deal with the spam in my forums perfectly well by myself, thankyouveryfuckingmuch.

That's what I was doing at first, too, until I realized that the front page lets you mass-delete.

Check the boxes on the right of each post, scroll to the bottom, Select "Delete Threads", and hit "Go". You can delete an entire page worth of threads at once.
