Need Advice
So here's the deal. My girl lives about an hour away from me. Wasn't always like that, but I moved out about 3 weeks ago. Anyways, I've made the drive to go and see her every single time so far. This 4th of July I asked if she could make the drive up here. She made some excuse about her family having a BBQ, and that I should come down to her. I know for a fact that she'll just end up going out with her friends if I don't drive down there, and not spend a second at the BBQ. I'd much rather spend the time at my place with my friends.
Am I wrong to be upset about her not making the drive up here? I consistently drive down to her, and just this once I was hoping she could return the favor. If I'm in the wrong, I'd rather know. But if I'm not, then I need advice on how to handle the situation.

Re: Need Advice
Ask her when WOULD be a good time for her to come see you then. Try and get a date set well in advance.

Re: Need Advice
I just saw you were our newest member, welcome. It seems to me that your girlfriend doesnt like you as much as you like her OR she's manipulative OR she's just lazy.

Maybe a little of all 3?
I definitely agree with the statement about her not liking me as much as I like her. It's getting rather frustrating, and I'm not sure I can deal with it. At the same time I also don't want to jump to conclusions.

that guy above you brings up 3 interesting points.
however my advice is to tell her straight up something like "if you cared about me you wouldnt give me bullshit, and you'd say you just didnt feel like driving an hour to see me." then she'd make up some bullshit lie to try to cover it, probably saying "no, i really do have to go to the family bbq" then you can have your friends spy on her.
however if i were in your situation i would of dumped her by now. because long distance relationships dont work out, even if its an hour away. if its a hassle to see one another than its trouble, and trouble isnt good for a relationship. if it's true love, it'll happen, but i doubt it, if you have to even mention it or talk about it or want comments about it, its probably not the real thing. so stop wasting your time and our time and just end it liek you're ripping off a bandaid with hair underneath, fast.

Re: Need Advice
If one wants it less, the other part will probably get attached.
So play her a bit cold for a while.
Make excuses why you cant come, tell youll just meet some other time.
And no, its not manipulating, its love.
