It's pretty simple. To date on a short-term basis, hotness > personality. To date on a long-term basis and possibly marry, personality matters more than hotness. Of course you don't want to marry a dog.

I wouldn't consider my self handsome, but I think I have a pretty good handle on "average." And I never said I liked the comedian, however the phrase really encompasses how I feel.

Also, I have an incredible girlfriend going for me, so to speak. Placing me at least one step ahead of most totseans in the "Sex and Affection" department.

I think this is just me but I find if I meet someone and I think they're just average, and I get to know them and they're really cool and we get along well then I start to find them more physically attractive. And that works vice-versa, if I meet someone who is smoking hot, but I get to know them and they have a repulsive personality I begin to think of them as less attractive.

You don't walk up to some mediocre looking chick because you have a hunch that she might be a badass. You walk up to girls that are looking good, and if they happen to be cool, then you roll with that.

The only way I think I'd find myself with a not-so-hot girl is if I was introduced to her by friends or something.

I can't go out with someone that I wouldn't want to be seen out in public with.

So if they're noticeably fat/ugly/etc, no amount of personality can save them.

For a serious relationship, you need to find your partner both attractive and interesting.

I'm a conflicted man, but at least, until I get my life in order and figure shit out, people aren't going to remember me as "the dude that fucked a thousand ugos".

I'm good looking enough and more importantly, confident enough that I can attract enough hot women to chose the ones with the personality I like.
