Question How likely is it that a girl would remember me after 2 years?

This is a long story, so I apologize in advance.

In February of 2005, I was arrested and expelled from school for sticking my hand up a girl's shirt. I was 13 years old. I was out of line, but I didn't molest the girl, which is what the rest of my school thought, because you know how rumors can develop.

Anyway, I had been friends with the girl for the whole school year leading up to that. She lived in my neighborhood, and we'd hang out a lot. She had a friend that used to come over every week or so, her name was Nina.

Nina was hot, and I had the feeling that she liked me, but she started going out with my friend, so nothing really happened. I got arrested a few months later anyway.

Flash-forward to last July, I had just made a Myspace, and I see Nina's page. I instantly recognize her, and I don't know whether or not I want to add her or not, just in case she's afraid of me for some reason. But I decide to add her, but we never talk, until last week.

She messaged me, I think I had posted a bulletin, and it contained a funny video, which she had replied to and said that she liked it. She doesn't know who I am. I guess she didn't recognize me because my hair has grown from crew cut to skater-dude, and my whole sense of style has changed. I used to have everyone call me Michael, now I just go by Mike, so that might have played a small part. But I didn't let on that I was the Michael from before, I just acted like that was the first time I'd ever spoken to her.

We keep on talking on Myspace for the next couple of weeks, and she's already commented my pictures, telling me how, "cute", I am. Then she gives me her number last week and tells me to call her when I get the chance, which I do immediately. We start talking about the movies, and we decide to go see 1408 this Friday.

Here is my dilemma. Just because she didn't recognize me as the guy from before on Myspace, doesn't mean that she won't recognize me in person. What if she recognizes me? What if she doesn't? And things go well, and we start dating, eventually she'd find out, I'd let something slip, or what if her friend (who has moved now), and Nina still talk on the phone? What if she tells her friend to look at her new friend's Myspace? I know that her friend will recognize me.

I like Nina because she's different from most of the girls in my area. She's smart, not a slut, and I actually like talking to her. I don't want to fuck it up, does anyone have any clue on what I should do?

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Go ahead with your plans as they are. There is no need to remind her vividly of the past at this time. When the perfect moment comes along (and it will), you can talk your heart out about it.

What a stupid bitch.

If you were some 400 pound pedo who liked to abduct and rape girls, she's setting herself up for it.

elaborate more to the reason why you had your hand up her shirt? but i'd say just keep it quiet for the time being, untill she get s to know you for who you ARE not who you WERE. then let her know in due course.

The girl didn't care if everyone grabbed her breasts and her ass, and one day I just slid my hand up her shirt. It's not like I threw her down and fondled her.

So you're a sex offender with a good lawyer.

EDIT: Either say "...so you don't remember me, huh?" straight off the bat, or feign ignorance until she does recognise you, then pretend like you're amazed at the coincidence that neither of you recognised the other yet had such a close, molestative relationship a couple of years ago. Maybe slip in something to the effect of "ha, you know how it is with molesting girls, they all blur into one".

Just keep on doing what you are doing. She will recognize you when she sees you in person. Or, if she doesn't, say something like "hey, remember that day back in (whatever year you two were in school together)". If she acts surprised and just then realizes who you are, just be cool about it. Hey, people change. It's bound to happen. And peoples Myspace photos never look much like they do in person, as any guy who met a girl there would know. Although, I was lucky and the girl I met ended up being cuter than she was online.

I will say though that a girl can definitely remember you two years later. Back in Freshman year I met this girl. We talked a while, and then just quit talking suddenly. Well, then like 2 years later I get a friend request from her on Facebook. And all I can say is to expect people to change if you haven't seen them for that long.

Well if you had your hands on her and she was sober, she will definitely recognize you, two years isn't that long ago.

Thumbs up Re: How likely is it that a girl would remember me after 2 years?

I know a few kids that got in some shit for allegedly 'molesting' a girl. They do alight with the chicks now adays, even those that know the story. Hell, one is even cool with the girl in question. All is forgiven when you make the transition from middle to high school, kids change in that short time.

as soon as it the topic comes up of what you did, apologize, and explain what happened. that you were a dumb 13 year old sand didn't understand the consequences of your actions. tell her that you wish you could do something to make it up to her, and that she can name something to do in return. who knows, maybe she'll grope you.

I went to the movies with her, and she didn't recognize me. Things went well, we even made out after the movie was over.

She told me that she wants me to sneak out tonight to meet her at her house.

Say you didn't recognize her; if she asks/brings it up, say something like she's really grown up in the past three years.

Wait wait wait... you thought she was hot when she was 13? Eh, I guess I was there once.

If you try to fake not remembering her, you will either fuck up and not be convincing, fuck up because you have to stick to that story for the rest of the time you date her or fuck up because she will be insulted by the fact you didn't remember her, even if she doesn't recognise you.

Probably easier to not mention who you are (though you could subtly hint like some other posters suggested) and if she does suddenly realise who you are, act surprised and say you assumed she knew who you were all along. Be apologetic because you didn't let her know, because you thought you didn't need to.
