What's a good place to get a job?
I have my high school diploma and I'm 17. I'm looking for a job where I don't have to do a ton of work (I'm very lazy). Right now I'm applying at Best Buy, but a few other jobs I'm interested in are Barnes and Nobles/Borders, EBgames/Gamestop (Do you have to be 18 though?), Flash! Digital Portraits (Maybe, it's near me), or maybe a library.

Re: What's a good place to get a job?
I feel disinclined recommending a "good place" to work to someone who is "very lazy". I hope you understand my predicament. Working smart is definitely a priority, but cutting corners is not. Do yourself a favor and have the appropriate attitude before you market yourself. Also, please don't get me wrong. If you can make $10/hr by doing a desk job, there is no reason to opt for lifting bricks... but laziness is a dangerous frame of mind.

Re: What's a good place to get a job?
the library usually consists of volunteers, usually they are old ladies and we call them librarians
any of the other stores sound like great places, you wont be lifting bricks but you will be interacting with customers and you will be doing tasks all day
one really easy job i know is to find a chain sit down resturaunt and apply to be the host, from what i hear all they do is say hello, show people their table and OCCASIONALLY clean a table, their job is the definition of laziness

Re: What's a good place to get a job?
Well I'm not too lazy, just to an extent. I don't want a job where I make 6 dollars an hour doing back breaking work, since there are plenty of decent jobs out there.

Re: What's a good place to get a job?
i would go for a waiter at a really fancy restaurant, or like a 5 star hotel, i mean if their dishwashers make 17 dollars an hour imagine how much the waiters make in tips. i know waiters at basic restaurants make 100-250 in tips on a Friday night
just don't be a dishwasher, its the definition of backbreaking work thats why i quit that job

You've heard all of this $17 bullshit second hand? I'll tell you right now, you are incorrect.

Re: What's a good place to get a job?
I used to get paid $17 an hour dish washing, but that is in Australia, and our minimum wage is a lot higher. It was actually $17 weekdays and $19.50 on weekends.
Hospitality jobs are really bad though, I wouldn't even work for $19 an hour anymore.
