Why is Jesus so often depicted with long hair?

No where in the bible does it say Jesus had long hair, and Paul who actually saw Jesus and wrote the book of Corinthians had this to say about men with long hair:

"Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him,"

I can remember the Armstrong Radio Church Of God brought out a whole pamphlet devoted to 'proving' Jesus had short roman style hair.

People always confuse Nazarene with Nazarite, a Nazarene is from Nazareth and is supposed to be a horrible person. A nazarite is a person who doesn't cut his hair as well as never eats or drinks any grape product or touches any dead body or anything else in any way unclean. Jesus couldn't have been a nazarite for several reasons most noatably his predeliction for touching all kinds of lepers and cripples, both definite no-nos and his turning water into wine -not that it was against the rules to turn water into wine just a nazarite wouldn't have anything to do with that.

Not true, actually. Plato was the first source on Atlantis, a far more reputable and trustworthy man than a guy who knew a guy who knew an apostle.

i take it from the bible that Jesus was considered some sort of rebel against the church and the norm(love your enemy, share, dont be a bitch, ect.) So... he probly had long hair to defy the church, but he didnt seem too against roman rule, just against inhumanity on their part, so he might have had short hair. So until the time machine is invented we wont know.
