I'm going to post on the shroomery but I figured I might as well post here also. I've recently come across a fairly large bag of shrooms that my bro has been storing in his closet. I'm really tempted to take some but have no clue as of how much to take to have a decent trip and having no scales for mesuring also presents a problem.

The only other semi psychedelic type of trip I've had was on DMX (roughly 350mg). It was fun but nothing "special". So here are the pics and any help on the amount to take would be helpful. (God I hope they're still there by the time I get some answers ).

That looks like a pretty good dose, depending on your tollerance and what type of trip you are looking for. Just by eyeing that, I'd assume that to be an eight if not a little more. You really should invest in a scale though.

Idk, I know my bro is somewhat of a dealer because he always has fucking creeps coming over to the house buying from him but most of the time its just weed. I wonder if he would notice if I took some... or whether it would be worth it or not.

Yeah well I have to wait now because he is home. I will post at the shroomery, I really don't know a lot about mushrooms but I thought that you could only take a print if they weren't dried?

You're right to post on the shroomery and you could also compare the characteristics from Wikipedias little chart on the mid right hand corner of the site.

They look like cubensis to me.

I'm assuming you've never done shrooms before, and if I'm right I STRONGLY suggest you take a smaller dose for a first time. I'd say 3 each of average sized caps [.5-1.5 inches in diameter] and average sized stems [2-4 inches long].

It's a good first dose, it won't be not enough or too much.

..Yeah, take a sporeprint of an old, dirty, dried mushroom. Great idea. I can smell the contamination now.

Besides, those mushrooms' veils havent broken. Sure you could tear them open, and try to scrounge up some spores, but the risk of contamination is very high that way.
