| Games People Play Games People Play is where to discuss personal computer, video game console, and arcade hardware and software - be it RPG, Sim, Strategy, Fighting, Action/Platform, or any other category. Although discussion of modern platforms/software will most likely dominate, discussion of classic videogame/computer hardware and software is always enjoyable, and certainly welcome - ESPECIALLY since there are public domain/shareware emulators of nearly every older computer/console available these days. Here's a taste of what awaits you: Nintendo-vs-Sega-vs-Sony, Console-vs-PC-vs-Mac, Hardware spec sheets/information, Industry news and discussion, Software reviews, IRC conference announcements/Reports, Emulators, Emulators, Emulators! ... and much, much more! |

gamecube to wii?
Is it possible to transfer data from gamecube to Wii?
for example, I bought Twilight Princess on Gamecube, and am almost through it,
recently I bought a Wii and my father bought Twilight Princess for it, I don't want to restart the game on wii
so does anyone have experience with this?
I was thinking is it possible to transfer the gamecube data to the HD and then convert? it to Wii capable

Re: gamecuge to wii?
No, they're different games for different systems. SOL.

I read that the Wii is just an xbox original with inferior shaders.

Reading something on a forum and then thinking it's fact is a really stupid thing to do.

Even the NES had motion sensitive controls, the WII has motion sensor controls.

I'm not too sure, but I'm assuming the graphics of the Wii are better compared to the gamecube. Meaning the same game would have scored higher on a gamecube than a Wii.
About the imprecise remark, I'm guessing it's imprecise compared to the rest of the Wii games, however that's still better than using a controller.
Also, were they written by the same person?

Re: gamecube to wii?
Nah, that's just Jeff Gerstmann being a fucking idiot as usual.
The Wii controls are spot on. 1 to 1 sword control would have been cool, but I doubt it's even possible. However, the "waggle" isn't imprecise, not once did I catch myself saying "Link didn't do what I told him!" and the IR is ten times better than standard analog aiming. It's mouse accurate, but with a point and shoot sensibility, which adds to the experience.

Re: gamecube to wii?
GCN scores better because they had to go and make the Wii version a graphical mirror.
