Zok has said, more than once, that every mod is duty bound to delete/report such links asap. So NC is perfectly correct in raising it here.

There's also spam in the suggestion box. Infact, alot of threads there seem to be spam. But I;m guessing zok will deal with that when he gets back.

Let me add something to the mix though, and say, if this becomes a common occurence in any particular forum, i think that forum should be filled up with mods, that is, so that there is never a time of the day that there just isnt someone around in CASE it happens. And I dont mean extra people to fill normal moderator duties, but just in the event that something outrageous like this would happen, you know??\

I dont know if it's something to do with trafic levels or what? But OI rarely gets the brunt of spam attacks, whereas Sex and affection gets a fare bit, and GPP seems to be a magnet for fuckers who like to advertise their shitty sites for "PS3 ONLY $100!!!!!!".


Obviously, every one needs sex and affection and games, but not so much food.

Possibly, but isnt it more likely that someone post them in a place that they think its acceptable to post porn in in the first place?

The only places I've seen child porn posted are IFIOTW and Half Baked. Some spammers my have posted a bunch in all the forums, but those are isolated incidents.

I agree it would be more effective to have a couple more supermods. Though personally I think if anymore supermods are appointed, they need to only be done so to take care of issues like that,, spam, etc etc.

I don't think we need more supermods or admins banning people outright, adding moderators, etc etc.

Quite frankly, I think many moderators on totse would not be able to handle just taking care of spam and other things. Too many moderators on totse 'overmoderate' anyway, to a degree that I think making them a supermoderator would make it even worse.

Any kind of action on this would require careful thought and discussion, with input from everyone, and a DECISION based upon said discussion.

Thrue. Despite being probably the most active forum - I think - BLTC has rarely ever had any trouble. Even when my account got hijacked earlier this year they never touched BLTC. Go figure.
