Re: chinatown
You can expect to get pretty much anything you want for pretty much whatever you want to pay for it. For the more illegal shit, like a fake ID or self-defense weapons or whatever, you'll have to ask around, as they generally don't put that kind of shit on display at the tables. If you're not an idiot, you'll know to keep small incriments of money in various pockets, preferably $10 in each. This way, when the person tells you that something costs like $20, you can be like, "Alright cool." and pull out a 10 and be like, "Shit this is all I have," and since everything in Chinatown is stolen (ESPECIALLY the things they have on the random tables against the curb..Pipes, bongs, etc) they'll give it to you if you're persistent. Don't let them take you for any more than you want to pay. Start leaving if they refuse to give you your price, and they will give in.
I'm moving to Chinatown in 2 months. Mulberry St. Between Canal and Hester :-)

Re: chinatown
if one was looking to find self defense weapons, what type of people should one ask? I mean ask like people that have stands? Do they usually take u to a back alley or what to sell it to u? Also is it a good idea to bring a friend or two with u there at all time to keep u safe from getting jumped? Sorry for the overload of questions, just curious and i also think the more i no the better.

Re: chinatown
I'll tell you, chinese people are very slick so you have to be on your toes. They play a lot of tricks, but if they like you, you get a lot of royalty from them. I would suggest you buy iphones from them, chinks will steal them after the 1st week of its release.

Re: chinatown
they communicate by radio, find someone selling like watches, act interested, and then say "well i was really looking for _____". you can easily penetrate their "rings" and thats when they start taking you to the cool back rooms and to the guys with cool shit. be careful, i always think of myself as really on-guard and watching everyone and i still got $5 stolen from me.

Re: chinatown
i figured since most of the cool stuff is illegal that explaining how to obtain it would make it a bad idea. Sorry if it doesnt belong here, im new to posting in this forum. Thanks for your help.

That should make your life alot easier.
But really, just ask around for special deals or stuff on sale, since youre pretty broke/poor or something. And if youre a kid watch yourself, dont let them get you, paint you yellow and use you as cheap labor in the 'cool, back rooms'.
