Would this work as a torture method?

Strap my victim down and tape his eyelids to his face, then pour salt in them.

I imagine it would be similar to the killing of a slug, no?

plausible. open cuts and wounds is a good torture method so perhaps you could make an insicion on the skin of his eye or under it then put the salt into his eye

remember to sprinkle and not just dump

Yeah, salt on just about anything that's bleeding or a mucous membrane (be creative) is going to start getting uncomfortable sooner or later.

I once ripped open a packet of salt, lost control of it, and it got in my eye.

It WAS torture. 20 minutes of water later, it was no problem though. My eye was SO red that day...

Pepper spray may work with more effect...or perhaps even stun guns placed to sensitive areas.

strap head down, salt in eye sockets, so they know its salt. They keep their eyes closed, and then get out some other torture weapon, get em to look.
