Quick Dumb Question
Hi there. Seeing as lm comp retarded, I was wondering if anyone can help me out. Question- Is there anyway to maximize on a wireless connection?
l was also wondering why I cant access all the features from my PS3. Theres actually a very interesting story behind the reason I can only access a wireless connection from my PS3. I'll explain as soon as I can get back to yas.
Love the site, guys.
Thanks!

Re: Quick Dumb Question
The signal strength, Its currently runnin 35-45% on a good day. I just need to keep it constant.
I get disconnected easy.
I obviously really need to brush up on my comp knowledge.

Re: Quick Dumb Question
It's a factor of the distance and obstacles in the way, not to mention things like microwaves.
Line of sight makes a huge difference.

Re: Quick Dumb Question
Thanks, I've figured that much out though.
I've found the best place to receive a good signal.
Lucky for me its actually right on top of my tv.
I understand that things like the telephone will disrupt the signal but I was wondering what I could do help strengthen the signal.
I also understand that it'd prolly be alot easier if I could manipulate the access point, unfortunately Im unable to locate or manipulate it.
Oh and big thanks for the help, guys.
Over in the pyro forums they are very reluctant to provide help, lol.

Re: Quick Dumb Question
A bigger antenna, but I'm not too educated on radio signals. If we could get lifejunkie in here, he'd be able to give solid advice.

Re: Quick Dumb Question
Go to your wireless router settings [ should be something like 192.168.1.1 ] look around and you should see the number 6. Change that to 1 or 12. Sorry I can't be more specific Im not at a computer. What happens is that many people are using the same frequency as you [ the default ] and that could be interrupting your signal.

Re: Quick Dumb Question
If you live in a crowded neighborhood make sure you aren't connected to an unencrypted wireless network from elsewhere, as good as it would be to find one, it would obviously increase your signal strength to use your own

Thats exactly what Im using. I cant use my own because Im out on bond and they're just waitin for me to screw up so they can send me to prison.
Bulldog- Cant do it. I dont have access to the router and it isnt giving me the option to change the channel but your right. It is set on 6.
Thanks!
