Default Bearded Dragon or Leopord geckos?

Debating which I should get.

got a new 60 gallon tank.

Pros of a beardie:
1) its a bearded dragon
2) its intelligent, and a very intresting animal

Cons:
1) They're alot of work from what I hear, and from a newbie at reptile - might be hard
2) They're expensive to buy, and to maintain

Pros of a lepord gecko:
1) Theyre cute as hell, and easy to care for
2) Theyre fairly cheap, I can fit multiple ones in a cage

Cons:
1) Doesnt have the "cool" factor as much as a beardie has
2) If I buy a few, and there turns out to be multiple males i'll be in trouble

Help me decide guys!

Leos are good to start out with. I started with a Ball Python and 2 Leos.

Now I have 21 leos of various morphology
3 Ball pythons
2 Florida Kingsnakes
a South Florida Kingsnake(Brook's)
a Leucistic Ratsnake
a Snow Cornsnake
a Grey-banded Kingsnake
and one baby Bearded dragon

It was the Leos that started my Herp addiction.

My friend's family just got a Bearded Dragon and they hadn't had reptiles before so I think if you wanted a Dragon more it would be OK.

So because someone else with no experience tries it, it means that someone else can too?

I'll quote and emphasize your flawed statement.

Who's to say it won't die soon? Stop giving shitty advice, it's people like you that act like you know everything, who get animals killed.

Ehh, it depends on the situation. I'd go with the dragon, just because they tend to be good beginners pets. Not that Leo's aren't either, but the dragons seem genuenly like and want interaction from you, they're really curious and trusting. My dragons fall asleep on me most of the time. Leo's are alot smaller as adults, only about 6 to 7 inches, which is a plus. Dragons get to be 20 inches. It's all about size for the most part, but dragons live around 10 years, and leo's 19 years.

I say bearded dragon, ftw.

Screw all those, get a horny toad. Best reptillian pet I have ever encountered.

Bearded Dragons are pretty easy to care for. They are as good of beginner pets as leopard geckos. Also, more of an emotional attachment comes with bearded dragons when they become adults. At that point, you basically carry them around with you if you wish. Whereas, a gecko will constantly try to escape you to satisfy its curiosity.

Bearded Dragons seem more intelligent. Mine runs around when I put music on and will also watch TV, probably because he likes the colours. He recognises when he is about to be fed and will also follow my finger when I point him towards crickets to eat.

From what I've seen of Leopard Geckos, they just seem to slowly meander about and be boring.
