For this fourth of july i felt like making a "sparkler" bomb. Deciding that just sparklers would be a boring waste of money i decided to up the ante.

So adding to the 525 sparklers are the contents of 4 roman candles with report and 4 emergency signal flares.(Supposedly burn for 3 minutes when lit correctly) Im going to put the powders in a bag and insert it into the middle of the sparker bomb. Should i still wrap the bomb in tape? Or will that ruin the flash of the signal flares?

The bag is a standard ziploc bag and is full to the top of the powder of the flares. All i got from the roman candles are black little spheres the size of maybe 3 airsoft bbs formed together, that shoot off sparks when lit and end up exploding(more like sparking out, like when you throw flint against the wall)

So the flares are the main component of this bomb besides the sparklers.

The flare powder itself burns like gunpowder but a much brighter and larger flame which so happens to be red. maybe 5 piches of powder laid out on concrete will produce a flame that is very painful to look at. The powder is white with a yellow tint to it and very soft. Feels excactly like flour. And when finished burning it leaves a very hard white rock like thing behind.

In all will putting the bag inside the bomb make it explode or just produce a large flash. Or even hide the flash from view?

Ive only got one shot at this and dont want to mess it up/ So any advice will be taken seriously.

Sparklers are a waste of money, when you take all of the powder and put it in a bag. Go thow it away, also we don't make bombs here. Go to bad ideas, your an idiot.

Sparkler bombs aren't tolerated here. Just too damn retarded.

Its going to be bright... and possibly a light "poof" sound then a cloud of mostly Al2O3 dust... which is really bad for your (or anyone else's) lungs... You just wasted all those fireworks.

Now the only thing i can think of to redeem this mistake... is to wet down the powder with around 25% alcohol solution and work it into a "dough" with gloved hands and make a very big, long sparkler "log." Giving it a long time to dry. Maybe like 3/4" OD by however long you can make it... Take pics and vid...

Or you could try to make dough with the powder like above and make cut or pumped stars with it... however you would need to prime it with BP... then you could make easter egg aerial shells for instance... using commercial 1fg black powder for lift... You could probably use the visco from those roman candles for the aerial shell fuse... however it would only be enough for a couple shells... now if you have alot of visco at your disposal you could possibly do it...

Should be feasible if you work enough and give everything enough time to dry to have home made aerial shells by the 4th...

Anyways, you seem to be misunderstanding. Our job isn't to help you achieve a cheap thrill with something that takes no effort at all. Most of the regulars here are here to have intelligent discussion. Frankly, demanding our services like we owe you them is rather arrogant and insulting.

Read the "Welcome: Read this first" sticky. You will see what you did wrong. Also if this wasn't stupid it doesn't merit it's own thread this would belong in the PRRT. Also please read the forum description does it say anything about modifying fireworks in there, or in this case wasting them? Also the best posters are soon to come, then you'll get a full assed flame.

Also, never use the word bomb in here. They like the word devices, because the word bomb implies you plan to destroy something with it.

Also, the people in bad ideas don't know shit about anything. Your best bet is someone on here posts what you want to know.

I have quite a few questions I would like to be answered, but for fear of being flamed to death I haven't posted them. I've just been trying what I think will work and seeing if it works.

well the preferred term for this device is "sparkler bomb" i mean you wouldnt call a smoke bomb a "smoke device", and if you would then im sure you're one of those people who stay up at night and try and reinvent the fork.
