Ok, so we all know THC dissolves in alcohol.

Could this be apply to the world of drug testing to achieve a false positive?

Let's run a scenario: little Johny, who has an average metabalism and is a daily toker, needs to pass a drug test in a week or two. He stops smoking and runs alcohol through his blood system everyday (a.k.a. he gets drunk). Sense marijuana is soluable in alcohol, will this help him pass his drug test at all?

Questions that may arise: Marijuana's THC dissolves in alcohol, but do marijuana metabolites? If so, what kinds of alcohols are they soluble in? Either alcohol? Will the amount of alcohol needed to get drunk be enough to remove any of the cannabinoids out of the body?

Basically, what I'm looking for is insight to the last paragraph of questions. Maybe I'm on to something, maybe I'm not. Can anyone help?

Alcohol will help, simply becuse it's a diuretic. I highly doubt that it will actually "clean your system" since nothing but time can that I've ever heard of.

This could be useful to alcoholics, I can't imagine getting wasted everyday. It'd be awful

Cannabis metabolites are water soluble, so just keep drinking water and a cup of coffee every hour (or another diuretic). I doubt getting drunk will be solving any problems

Water soluable, yes, but only slightly. The metabolites are much more soluble in fat though. So drinking water isn't going to remove them out any quicker because the metabolites going to prefer staying in your bodies lipid tissue rather than dissolving in the water. The only way to rid your body of them is buy burning the fat, which releases the metabolites into your blood stream where it will eventually get pissed out.

But if you have alcohol running through your veins...

The most probable thing would be that johny gets drunk too much and goes into the test bombed, and throws up all over the nurses shirt.

He would then have more time to get the THC out of his system.

I've had to take several drug tests, all of which tested for alcohol... so you might want to think of that one. Also, I doubt the method of delivery affects the concentration of THC in the blood, it will still remain in hair follicles and fat cells.

I was tested for a security position at an airport and had smoked a week before and received no problems, just hold out for a week before doing the test, show the smallest amount of self control.

Meh, alright. I guess I was just giving myself an excuse to get drunk all the time.
