The Egg Thread
I just made the best scrambled eggs for brunch and they looked absolutely scrumptious and tasted delicious, so I figured I'd share my method with you all for making this staple, and perhaps you all can share your 'egg-periences' *groan* with how to do stuff with eggs.
Per person you will need:
3 eggs
3 'dashes' of milk (seriously, very little)
salt
pepper
butter
If you want toast you'll have to time it depending on how toasted you like it, but in either case you'll have to start toasting when you start warming the pan up.
Firstly: Get a bowl out, crack your eggs in there, add your dash of milk for each egg and a crack of salt and pepper for each egg too, I find to be a good rule.
Using a fork or whatever, mix it up together, using a bit of a whisking motion, to get some air into the mix, do it until everything seems combined (so like 45 secondsish)
Toss your pan on medium, wait until it heats up and put a chunk of butter in there, to grease it up, when its just about done, pour in your mixture.
Leave the mixture for a few seconds, just so it warms up, then using a wooden spoon or something (so it doesn't make scratches) zig zag through the setting mixture continuously so it gets scattered around. The cooking process doesn't take long at all, maybe like 30 seconds- 1 minute, go off what you see however.
When nearly all of it is set, take it off the heat, quickly butter your toast and serve.
It should be delicious.

This is pretty basic, I admit, but I've never got the hang of scrambled egg. I tend to go crazy and add cheese and ham and pineapple and bacon and onions and oh god oh god oh god!!

Yeaaah, but if you don't get the basics you can't really go on from there.

Re: The Egg Thread
i tried to make scrambelled eggs for my boyfriend last weekend. being an egg hater, i had no clue how it worked, and i didn't think they looked yellow enough in the end so added lots of cheese and made some sort of cheesy egggy goo that was apparently good on toast
2 eggs and probably 40g of cheese

Re: The Egg Thread
A biscuit cut open and stuffed with Italian sausage and scrambled eggs with a lot of mozzarella cheese crumbled up in it is delicious.
I make my scrambled eggs in the microwave when I'm in a hurry. Takes about 5 minutes, including shell-cracking time. I've also perfected microwave egg-cooking with boiled eggs (the first couple times I tried it, the eggs exploded VIOLENTLY and blew the microwave door open and messed up the hinges.), fried eggs, and omelets, and all kinds of stuff. Takes a little figuring out, but a major time saver.

Scrambled eggs take about 30 seconds for me too cook, if that. The rest I can understand, though I'd never be brave enough to put an uncracked egg in a microwave.
I really want scrambled eggs now too, damn it.

Keep making this fucked up meals for your boyfriend and I don't think he's going to stick around much longer.

Re: The Egg Thread
I never liked scrambled eggs...something about the texture just drives me nuts. I prefer poached or fried or boiled -- all with the yolk good and just barely warmed.
