In the interest of fairness, I thought I'd post my two cents after a certain moderator made a comment just before locking it. In all the time I've been posting in S & A, I've enjoyed my time here and thought the mods were quite fair and receptive to open discourse and debate. Perhaps I'm wrong though, and now we will be under some tyrannical dictatorship with more or less the message of ...."because I said so" as being the end of any legitimate discussion.

I've seen this same message posted multiple times in other threads this person has locked, and am here now on this thread to discuss the faulty thinking behind that mindset.

I'd like to use a "restaurant" analogy to get my point across better. Imagine someone that frequents a diner with whatever regularity because they enjoys the food, ambiance, company of other patrons and serving staff. Now what if some day a new waitress is hired, and their service is somewhat lacking? You order steak, and instead she brings you a plate of salmon. When you point out her mistake, she gets belligerent and huffy. You then try to contact management to inquire what your next recourse is...or at the very least understand the future policy of the restaurant or that waitresses work schedule so they can be prepared for any upcoming lousy service. While the manager is handling everything just fine they do have to go home after a while and as soon as you go out to your car for a pack of smokes, the waitress locks the door on your while she is childishly flipping the bird at you.

Will I come back? Damn right I will. Just because one inadequate miscreant has issues, doesn't mean I'm going to walk away from a place where I've gotten such amusement for so long. Knowing how life usually works out, it will eventually be discovered by management what I've been saying all along and in time my complaint will just be the first of a litany of them. Chances are the waitress will have a breakdown of her own before anyone is forced to do anything, because at a couple of other waitress jobs she has had she bailed before. Life returns to normal, and a good time is had by all again at the diner.......with the weird waitress just being an unpleasant memory.

So no, it is NOT reasonable for someone to say...."like it or leave" because ONE person is behaving ridiculously. And it is NOT the fault of the customer (or poster) that service has lessened, nor are they wrong to nudge their fellow patron pointing out the hypocrisy and nonsense. Why anyone thinks they are above reproach and common sense is beyond me. Most importantly, the fact someone believes they are bigger than or more important than this website ("Leave Totse if you don't like me") is just irrefutable proof at how delusional some people are. Maybe if certain people would just grow up and not have their mouthes write checks their asses can't cash, none of this would be an issue. I doubt it though, and look forward to the upcoming weeks/months of further instances such as this with many, many other posters. History dictates that it WILL happen again, and again, and again.....as long as the delusional and twisted behaviors of certain people don't change.
