Default A situation I've found myself in..

Again I apoligise for the thread title, I can't get them worded right as of late.

Anyhow there's a girl I've been getting friendly with, and now she's told me that these guys are being creeps to her making her feel uncomfortable. She hasn't said why but I suspect they hit on her when she makes it clear she's not interested, maybe they make gestures or stare I really can't say at the moment but she's told me that it has happened. It could be a range of things but I'm not overly keen in thinking too much about it.

Some of these guys are people I know, not exactly people I'd call friends but I do get along with them. Her being uncomfortable obviously upsets me but I don't know what to do here.

Has anyone been in a similar situation and if so how'd you deal with it? How WOULD you deal with it?

I really dunno what she is expecting of me :S Perhaps she just needs to talk about it?? I doubt she wants me to get into a punch on with them, she's a peaceful being. I'm not the person to have a talk with someone to tell them how to act. Maybe I'll have to start being that person though.

No. There's a way to fix this without telling them anything, or fighting anyone.

Be her boyfriend.

Yes well I'm assuming he'll continue to do it even with me in the picture and try as hard as he can to get us to break up.

If that were to happen...then what?

Tell them they're being assholes and to back off.

She isn't expecting you to do anything, she's just talking to you. Be a friend, don't do anything stupid; listen to her and offer what you can. Thinking that she wants you to rush off and kick ass is a common problem that guys encounter. It's usually the wrong choice.

Trust me I have done so in the past with one of the main culprits who was irritating a good friend of mine to no end - I'm not sure if they'll all take the hint.

And considering they don't exactly like me (they are really hot/cold people that'll turn on you in the blink of an eye) I've told her when it happens she can come hang out with me in their full view to piss them off. She liked that idea :)

I don't want to fight anyone, I just included that thinking most guys would be like "kick their ass!"

If you're going to do it, it's not a hint thing. It's a clear and unequivocal demand. If they have no respect for you, then it won't have any effect anyhow. Don't bother trying it unless you're looking for a fight; remember that fighting is the wrong idea unless things escalate.

Just be a friend.
