Fighting off other males
What do you other guys do when another dude likes your girl? This dude like my girl and would it be wrong or make me look like adickhead to tell him to back off? What if he doesnt back off? What action can I take?

Re: Fighting off other males
I've never done it, though felt the desire to do it at times with girls I've liked.
However, if she was your girlfriend whatever a guy tries, she should be yours.

Re: Fighting off other males
Sure you can warn him off, but dont do it in the way that will make you look like a possesive psycho.
Try not to resort to violence. Your physical presence and her lack of interest in the other guy should be enough.

Re: Fighting off other males
What makes her "your girl"?
Girls are usually well equipt to manage these sorts of things on their own.
If she isn't, then mention to the guy that she isn't available or kiss infront of him; just something small. Before any sort of action like that, mention it to her and see what she thinks.
I'd say that you should leave it in her hands. It's her choice to make, not yours.

Anyways, if another guy steals a girl away from me, he's got my blessing. And my thanks for bringing the problem to my attention sooner rather then later.

Actually that is an extremely interesting point you have. If the girl goes to the other guy, it was most likely bound to happen, and better sooner than later.
I would still have much animosity towards both parties, though.

Re: Fighting off other males
I usually ruin them. I'm very territorial when I'm close to her. When we're far away, though, I let her do her business. I don't expect her to do anything I won't.
Usually, I approach the guy and get very close. Friendly, at first. I ask "So, you like my girlfriend, huh?" If he answers in the positive and gives me any amount of attitude, I'll whoop the shit out of him to let him know. If he answers in the negative, oh well, I'll probably still do it.

I might be pissed at the girl for a little while, but theres no sense wasting time in whats lost, and being angry at her for not being what I wanted her to be.

Re: Fighting off other males
My girl can fend them off herself but there have been times when a dude would just not leave her alone and I had to step in. Usually I just say, "Hey man, I'm cool with you and I don't really want things to not be cool between us so why don't you leave my girlfriend alone?". Something along those lines. Usually works. If not, there's always THE STONECOLD STUNNER!!!

Re: Fighting off other males
if i was her, i'd rather you showed you ddn't like it to me, but didn't go starting shit. we can fend for ourselves yanno?
i avoid telling my boyfriend if other gusy hit on me, it's generally just out and about though so it's easier to just not mention. if i do let it slip, or i complain some guy was being a dick, when he was actually hitting on me and i didn't realise, he gets all grumpy about it and is all "hgmrgngm i don't like that". it's cool, but it's a bit silly to get so wound up when you kinow nothing would ever come of it.
i can't make a sentence today for shit

Re: Fighting off other males
Just show the dick u mean business...keep ur girl on lock....like be stern so she doesnt have any wandering thoughts on the guy..if u do the job right u wont have to worry about anything
depends on the situation, bust out a hating on him.not like ur trying to protect ur girl or something .like some dude tried to pick up on this girl i waswith at the thearte talking all extra stuff at her when he was tearing off her movie stub .like hey how are u tonite, enjoy the show the movie is on ur left....i gave him my stub and he didnt say shit...she stepped like 5 feet from the guy waiting for me i mouth off...I say"Nice i like how the guy trys to talk you all nice to u but doesnt greet me with shit....i guess thats the only way he can talk to chicks, standing at his post at the thearte"..he looked over ...it was good
JUST DO WORK

Re: Fighting off other males
A guy only deserves a beating if he gets her extremely romantic gifts or is stalking her, or threatening her. Everything else a girl ought to be able to handle on her own.

Re: Fighting off other males
Simple, I shouldn't have to, unless the guy is a stalker or won't leave her along when told (by her) to do so. If she chooses to flirt or go along with the other guy instead of telling him up front, knowing his intentions, then we've got a problem.
Though in the case that she does happen to do anything with said guy or something like that, I'd shake the guy's hand and promptly dump her cheating ass on the curb.

bullshit if ive ever read it in my life. so he's supposed to just let the guy do w/e and just hope that nothing happens? he wants to keep his gf, and obviously confonting either his gf or the guy about it would lower the chance of them 2 liking each other and her dumping him.

Re: Fighting off other males
You only threaten or beat up a guy who poses a real threat to your girl, not because he makes you afraid you will lose her.
cuz guys would rather give every guy on the streets an equal chance to get with his gf as opposed to stepping in and stopping shit from starting. right...

Re: Fighting off other males

fuck yeah.
well, the last 4 weeks have been fun for me. There's this girl i like, we used to go to the same school and talk often. Some fucker started hitting on her every day during the breaks and i noticed it, so whenever i saw him next to her, i'd go and join the conversation.
Then i'd switch the subject to something i knew the other fucker had no knowledge about (anime or cartoons) and which i knew for sure the girl is interested in, and basically neutralize his ass. He'd just stand there like a fucking mute, since he had nothing to say about the topic, while i was chatting up the girl.
ocasionally, to fuck with his head even more, i'd say something in the lines of "You should come to my place again, i'll give you another massage" to the girl.
Note the use of "again" and "another", if you can, use these words because it implies that something had already happened. In my case, i could use those without sounding suspicious to the girl. I knew it sounded normal to her, but to him it must have been pretty painful. Also, i used the girl's pet name when i was talking to her.

Guys shouldn't have to step in at all, if their girl jumps at every guy on the street, or allows every guy to do so then you've got bigger problems. Girls can 'defend' themselves just fine like that, if they want to. Physical harm/other creep, I'll step in and break a jaw or two, but some guy hitting on her, she can handle and I expect her to.

Re: Fighting off other males
The problem comes into play when a guy hits on a girl, and this guy knows that you two are together. Then it calls for a prompt assbeating, not because of your girlfriend potentially liking the guy, but rather because you are being disrespected intentionally by some douchebag.

*nods* I'll agree there. The kind of guy that shows up, and after learning that you're together, or already knowing it, decides to be a douche and pull the 'hey ditch this loser and come with me' deal, which results in a brand new broken nose, I'd take that as a pretty serious personal insult, so that changes it to a new level.

Let? Hell I don't control the other guy, but I expect him to back off the second he's informed that said girl is my gf. I'm not gonna snap at some random jerk at the drop of hat, that would make me insecure and stupid.

Or a certified BA.
In all seriousness, I don't attack every guy that comes to hit on my girl. I usually walk up beind them and ask "What's your veiw on mmf threesomes?" Give it a second and he'll slink away. If he says "I'm in." I usually just say "I'm not, this is my girl. See how it works?"
If he continues to hit on her even after he's been "told," I'll drag him back and "Tell" him some more.

Re: Fighting off other males
She should be able to handle the situation on her own if she really likes you. Beleive it or not, we're pretty capable of taking care of ourselves some of the time.
If he resorts to anything physical with her, eg, grabbing her arm or something, feel free to step in.
That being said, I'm a very possesive person (despite my adorable and cute exterior, rite?) and can get very hostile very quickly, I'm pretty sure if someone tried to put moves on my partner they'd be very firmly told to step off.

Ive been in this sitiuation more than once, and all I can say is just go for her. Ask her out, do something. Trust me, from experience, if you back off, she will more than likely think youve "lost feelings for her". Well, thats what she said to me :( ... haha

Letting someone deal wih their own problems in their own time and manner, when you could quite easily resolve things is rarely an easy task.

What makes her "your girl"?
Most likely the fact that they have both agreed to a close relationship where no other parties may become involved emotionally or sexually.
