I was just recently informed that a close friend of mine just had a baby girl and they need names stat. I am not really that good at naming and stuff-- so I need help. I also don't know if this belongs here.

I think they are leaning toward a Suzanna or Olivia or Alona. Or something like that. Last name rhymes with Leigh. Go for it.

Thanks in advance.

Georgia, Violet, Ruby..

Evelyn, Veronica, or Michelle.

Jordan is a wonderful name.

Unisex, too.

Sadly, when I think of Jordan, I am cursed with images of the UK page three girl.

Otherwise, it might be a more attractive name.

I mean, just look at me.

And I knew a stripper named Jordan once. She had weird nipples.

How about Damien, or Regan?

Simon

Just read it was a girl... Simon won't do.

Natalie?

* Angela
* Carmelita. I guess this would end up getting shortened to "Carm" a lot.
* Marian. Bit biblical, but not in a totally obvious way (EG Ruth, Hagar, etc).
* Suzanne. Possibly a bit bland.

Furthermore, these are all titles of (good) songs. Bob James (also the theme to Taxi), Warren Zevon, Leonard Cohen, and Sisters Of Mercy.

I reckon it'd be cool to be able to play your kid the song sometime and say "This is what we named you for".

In any case, advise them sternly to check the spelling and meaning of the name before it gets put in writing...

Quentin.

That's a boy's name, and a bad one at that.

Awesomelope...as in Princess Awesomelope.

Awe-som-elope-ay

I always figured it was "Awesome(a)-lope"... In the same way that Antelope is pronounced, more or less, "anta-lope".

How about Damien, or Regan?

The antichrist and a dead Republican president. Great.

th first word i thought of when i read the title was Guantanamo. so name her that.
